Help with mods

So what program should I use to unzip mods to my mod folder? And should I use the steam mod folder or the one in the "programs" section? I'd put this in the thread for the appropriate mod but I've had problems installing for every mod that does not have its own installer

Hi louie97,

Many mods got the installation instructions included in one of the first posts. So I do recommend reading those.

Further you can unzip files easily with Windows built in program (right click, unzip/extract) or use a program like 7-zip or WinRar. Next to that, always place the mod files when or after extracting in the ..\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\ folder. Don't place it in the programs or steam folders.
