I downloaded and installed CIM demo. The problem I am having is the cars and people are not running smooth like a movie, or like on the trailer on CIM. It’s all the cars are moving like jumping instead of running smooth. Here are the computer specs on my system. I have a HP workstation xw6200 running Windows 7. 64 bit or 32. My Processor are 2 Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 1 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s), and Physical Memory (RAM) 3.00 GB, NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400/4400 card. Please some help me on this. I was told I have a super good computer, and should have no problem running games. I’m not a game but I really want to play CIM. Thanks

* Processor: 2 GHz Dual Core or higher
* Memory: 2 GB RAM
* Hard drive space: 2 GB
* Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800/ATI Radeon HD 3850 or higher, 512 MB RAM, OpenGL 3.0
I think your graphics card is a problem here. I wouldn't bother buying the full game if even the tiny Tutorial Town is causing you trouble. Bigger city like Berlin will simply freeze.

Think this will work if I buy this card?
Myself I have GeForce 9800 gtx+ and the game runs fine for me for the most port. It becomes a bit less responsive when I run late-game Vienna with a lot of lines at 3x speedbut I don't think it's caused by the GPU.
Radeon you picked seems better than what I have so should work fine. Still, you buy with your cash not with mine so think about it really hard.

The way it's meant to be played... NVIDIAAAAA lol. it could be, have no idea but my poor old NVIDIA 9500GT runs pretty good
I think everything runs more smoothly with NVidia cards... (I had to troll here, even that I own ATI card now)

from my own experience: i had an old Nvidia card but then choose to switch to an ATI card but was totally disappointed and unsatisfied so after a while went back with Nvidia... never felt sorry
Yep... Too bad that I was running out of money back when I was building this comp, GTX460-470 type cards were darn expensive back then compared to 5850 from ATI. Of course I could have settled for less powerhouse CPU but still that is the thing what I need most, so graphics was last thing to buy. My PC is below the minimum requirements. Single-core 3ghz Pentium 4, nVidia 7300GT, 2gb ram. Runs OK - generally about 10fps and with all the advanced rendering options turned off. I'm not getting the full visual experience but I don't play computer games for the visual experience. I used to play Dwarf Fortress a lot!

Im looking at PNY - NVIDIA GeForce GTS450 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card what do you think about this card ?
My fps are now are 3.515. Is this my problem why I'm not getting a smooth screen and the cars are skipping not driving around smooth. So if I replace my video card this should slovle my problem? What fps should I be getting.
