We’re always trying to learn more about what the community likes and what we can do to support that. For that reason we’ve put together a survey that we hope can tell us a bit more about mods and how our players play and mod* our games.

If you have a few minutes (we expect the survey to take between 2 - 5 minutes to complete) please help us out by answering our survey and let us know what you are looking for when it comes to mods and modding. We’ll use the information to try and better serve the needs of those that develop mods for our games, and also make sure that we have a good understanding on how we can spread cool mods that mod-developers release.


* By “mod” in this instance we mean “made a change to any game files in order to alter something in the game, even if it's just a change you have made in your own game folder and never shared.”

The combination of these two confuse me: "How many mods have you made that you use/have used only on your own computer / with a few friends." + * By “mod” in this instance we mean “made a change to any game files in order to alter something in the game, even if it's just a change you have made in your own game folder and never shared." - I have literally never played CKII without "modding" the game a bit, mostly just minor changes in the defines file, but what is the correct answer there then? I believe quite a lot of regulars mod their game without thinking of it as a mod per se, if that makes sense to put it like that, so the answers to this will probably mean different things for different people.

CoSMoS, if you change your defines file then you've made a mod.

I find it a bit curious that with question 8 and 9 you get to differentiate between how many mods you haven't shared and how many you have uploaded to steam or an external site(the latter which you according to the forum rules may not do if you distribute it on pdxplaza or steam) but not an option about sharing on PDXplaza. Being a veteran modder for ck2 and for years having been restricted to share me and my mates mods via pdxplaza(size and technical limit issue with steam) inorder to not brake the forum rules I find it borderline comical that there is no option for sharing mods via pdxplaza in an offical pdx survey about modding.

Exactly this.
I just decided to include the mods I uploaded to Paradox forums in that question, lest the survey data would sound like I had never shared mods.
