The way to get nukes faster is to build your reactor up. That means researching the entire nuke tree. also, I thought the first nuke came after reactor size 6?? Or maybe is was just the tech to get reactor size 6. Honestly, you will never get that many nukes in the game even if you're doing a GC.

You need size 6 before you start producing nukes, so that's probably what you're at right now. At that level you'll get a nuke every year or so. But you've researched further, so you can build more reactors and that will cause you to produce nukes quicker. The higher the reactor level, the quicker they come.

To deliver the nukes, you need a strategic bomber. Just click on the bomber and you'll see an atom-like symbol that you just click to load the nuke and then you can deliver it wherever you want.

Later you can load them onto rockets or ICBMs (once you have the miniature fission bomb tech researched).

ooh..thanks..any ways so are nukes effective against land units?if so do they completely destroy them or just weaken them.. and wat else do nukes effect? like infastructure, industries, defenses or wat? and whats the size of a nuke, like if u throw a nuke on a province it only damages that province or also neighbouring provinces or wat?

check the wiki for all the facts, but here are some fun ones:

nukes reduce infra in the province to 0 (I believe almost permanently ?)
they take all production (IC and resources) down to 0, with a VERY slow rebuild due to the infra hit
MP is damaged in that province
the nuked nation takes a dissent hit until they retaliate, and it gets worse with every nuke
the nuked nation also takes more or less dissent depending on where you nuke. Capitals and major cities are obviously favorites for this reason.

Thus, I prefer to hold onto nukes until I get a handful, then drop them all at once on the enemy. A couple nuke strike will seriously hinder any major, and completely cripple any moderate or minor.

I have a question, do you have to build all your reactors in the same province? For example in my USA game I have a level 7 reactor in Pittsburgh. If I want to be able to produce nukes faster does it matter if I build the new reactors in different provinces?

Thanks.

I have always wondered that myself. I think you can but I am not sure if it affects the time it takes to build a nuke. I am playing Germany right now and I can place nuclear test sitesin seperate provinces, I did not do it but the game will let you. I have no idea if it affects the building of nukes though?

Might have to wait for someone more knowledgeable than I to answer this one for you.

You should be able to build only one reactor, same as one rocket test site. I know that there are (or used to be) exploits around it, but as far as I know, multiple sites don't give you any bonus than redundancy in case one site is captured or nuked.
