I am playing Japan for the first time, and now I am very frustrated! In the Vichy France event, I did not get french indochina. So when I declared war on China, they of course strolled in and took it. Why not, the %&/¤ stupid vichy france dont know how to build forces. Now that I have conquered all national provinces of China, I find myself slaughtered in French Indochina trying to liberate French Indochina. Slaughtered not by the weak chinese, but by not being able to supply my troops! Both strength and org is falling. I have strolled all over Africa without loosing a single unit, but in French Indochina I can take maximum 1 province. As Spok would have said: this is illogical. Please anyone, what is wrong? Or is it just 'another bug' in the n'th upgrade of this %/&¤ game??!

You need to send a seperate convoy to Indochina (as it is a seperate area from China), that's all.

Hmm. I cant! There is no coastal province I am allowed to send a convoy to. I have taken Haiphong (a coastal province), but no sigar. Also, I might add, I annexed Siam, so I own all provinces around French Indochina. Still no supply arrives. Did I mention I am allied with Vichy France? This is just too strange...

Although it may seem as if you can't set up a convoy to IndoChina, if you send a regular supplyconvoy it will transport supplies.

The fact that you have provinces nearby doesn't matter since you are now on Vichy territory, which must be supplied separately. Since Vichy either can't get any ships out of the Med or doesn't have enough transports, you have the honour of doing just that. It is sometimes not an entirely logic system but it works once you get used to it.

Also, when playing as Japan, have some troops ready in transports to move in as soon as the Vichy event fires. It is a lot quicker to secure if it's still friendly territory (but you already figured that one out ;) ), Vichy or Japanese.

When your forces are liberating allies, they are often on an ally's territory. Your units are being supplied by your ally when they are on the ally's territory. That's a basic game concept which you have to deal with.

I would prefer to see more of an alliance based model where you didn't have to account for things like this and you knew about the supply situation of your troops in an ally's territory. But that's not how this game works.

Just send a supply convoy to that Vichy France area and hope that the AI doesn't try to send the supplies elsewhere. Make it a big supply convoy so that your troops have enough supplies. Since your troops there lack a land connection back to your capital, they will quickly lose strength and organization if they don't have supplies. Which points out another problem in the game that's never been changed: the stupid land connection back to the capital rule.
