Help, my castle besieged by rebels

I am the count of Northumbria and shortly after my liege raised my levy in some stupid independence war my peasants decided to revolt. Now I have no help from my liege and they are taking my holdings one by one. Any ideas for getting out of this situation?

There is nothing you can do unless you have money to hire mercenaries. But even if the rebels win they may just go away after a while.

Do you still have any personal levies left? Typically when your liege calls up your levies, they don't take all of them. If so, call them up and at least try to kill some of the rebels. If not... well, wait it out. Maybe you'll be lucky and either someone else will off em' or your liege will no longer have a need for your troops and you can crush em'.

Comradebot, I tried that but I had too few to make any difference. I had a martial 21 courtier leading the siege defense so I was hoping he would also lead the battle when I called up my levy, but unfortunately it ended up being my marshal instead. Thanks for the tips, but it seems there is nothing else to do now but wait and hope for the best.
