Now I'm quite new to this game (around 200 hours) and still haven't figured out strategy yet, but I'm playing Korea at the moment and after many decades of having an alliance with Ming allowing me to rapidly expand and conquer Manchuria, Mongolia, and Japan, Ming has suddenly broke their alliance with me and set me as a rival.
I have roughly 50-60% their military strength but because of my skill I get thrashed in a war with them, so I allied Bengal and Delhi to help defensively and built a huge wall of castles covering 80% of the border but we still got destroyed.
Does anyone have any tips on fighting a defensive war against Ming and/or causing Ming to collapse?
I believe it is around 1620-ish.
