I did a little TOO well as france.

I'm trying to get the big entente achievement as well as the survive to 1948 wihtout capitulating, so i formed the entante, germany then attack chekoslovakia and I assist int he war, but then Germany triggers a civil war right after it starts, and then since world tension was still only 50% I couldn't have them join my faction, so now all of europe is a democracy (except spain), world tension is only 67%, and I can't think of a way to get germany into my faction or conquer them, because i don't see WT going up much anymore...

So should i just let the game run until '48 or what?

I would let it run, Soviet Union will probably go to war with Poland in 1942, which will be a war with the allies. Sit back and hope they take Germany out too.
