Help me pick a good place to build a COT in Scandinavia.

Ive got all of Scandinavia to chose from. Do i build it in Stockholm which is my 2nd richest province with a base tax of 6 (my richest has a base tax of 7 and produces fish) . Its got grain so it might get more base tax down the line and its Swedish so i could move my capital there (need to culture shift) giving it 2 more tax. My fur producing provinces only have a base tax of 1 and a population of 1 or 2k. I could also move my capital to naval supplies producing province build a COT on top of it. That will give my Capital a huge population after a century and make naval supplies worth a ton during war. Ideally my new COT will also starve out Novgorod's.

Stockholm is fine , or Copenhagen if you are playing as Denmark

I sometimes choose a poorer province to benefit from the obscene bonus to Pop. growth. As for where should build it, I usaully build mine logically, e.g. In copenhagen as it is an island in the baltic-atlantic strait so naturally ships would go through there. Personally I would recommend Copenhagen as it relativeley rich compared to most provinces in the scandanavian area.

Stockholm is closer to Novgorod. Copenhagen if you want have some effect on Lubeck

Is the Naval Supplies province capital/COT really a bad idea? Right now im Danish but once i enact the Danish +10 tax decision im gonna move my capital to Sweden anyway.

Gotland! You'll probably get all of Scandinavia and some parts of the eastern shores of the baltic aswell.

Also, it's reclaiming Gotland's rightful legacy, as Visby was once the center of all baltic trade and all trade from Russia. Right up until around the mid 1200s Visby was one of the most important cities in northern Europe.

AI is too keen to siege small islands first thing in the war and if you get sloppy with ships your CoT might be under English control for many years.

I say you should pick the most populous province of your state culture for the COT.

Stick it on that copper province. Copper is one of the rarest and richest trade goods so upping the population there will net you loadsadosh from the increased production amount of copper.

The copper province is not coastal. It will draw in less neighboring provinces to trade through the COT and not give me .1 colonists a year.
