[help] GOG file question (1.2.1 --> 1.3.0)

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm hoping somebody has a simple answer and I can try flashpoints*.

I use GOG and manually install the files (because I have a slow connection and like to be able to decide when things get downloaded. The file to upgrade from 1.2.1 to 1.3.0 is confusing me.

Usually the patch files are self-installing executables (.exe) and this one is a .bin file, and I'm not sure what I need to do to install it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hmm... yeah, when I look at the available files for offline download, I'm seeing the same thing.

I'd suggest contacting GoG support... it most likely is something they need to straighten out on their end.

FWIW, the GoG Galaxy client can be told to only run updates upon request... it may work better for you than you would think. (Though the initial setup would likely need to re-download the entire game.)

There's a function to scan and import a folder and it seemed to work fine when I installed Galaxy several years ago - though it certainly may end up re-downloading the game if there's any mismatch with the files.
