Hi,

I just tried out my first conclave game (which is also the first muslim game I play). The founder of the dynasty gave a lot of land to the oldest son, making him heir. I gave him castles and stuff, so I think he became feudal, even though I was still tribal. All the other brothers got very little. At some point my heir dies, making my grandson the heir. Then my founder dies, and I end up playing as the grandson who is still a child.

Now the thing I don't understand. For some reason I have no access to any of my levies! I attached a screenshot. For a long time it said 0/0/2594 in the "from demesne" section. The levies are actually present in all the holdings that I own, I just cannot access it?

With these numbers, all vassals rebel at the same time because they are 10000% of force limits. Now that I am in a war the levies suddenly look like 25/0/2594 , no longer being nonzero.

Can someone explain why I have 2594 levies in my tribal holdings, but I just cannot access them ? Was my grandson feudal for a little while perhaps before he became tribal again when he inherited? (He is currently tribal). Or does the council/guardian somehow prevent me from using my soldiers? In either case, it seems like I am quite dead. Any explanation about what is going on would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!
Bram

The third number is the maximum amount of levies your holdings can give you, but only if they are replenished. The second number is what's currently available and unraised and the first number are your currently raised levies.

That is what I thought. I don't understand why all my levies are unavailable. If I select one of my holdings (in the case of this second screenshot marrakech) I can see that all my levies are there. But I can only raise 9 of them... Before the war started I could raise 0. There has been no war in several years. They are not depleted

Working as intended. The third number is total levies raisable if they are all replenished, holding screen just shows breakdown of the total amount of the different levies you can raise when fully replenished. And currently you can only raise 25 levies. Not sure why thats the case but everything else is working fine, you dont have 2500 levies.

Is it possible that the grandson of my founder was feudal. Then when he inherited the tribal duchy he became tribal again and somehow all the levies got reset? It would seem like a bug in that case, because it would make no sense all 2500 died when my former ruler died :p

Is your current character feudal/iqta? or tribal?

As far as I know, when reforming from tribal to merchant republic, you have to raise your levies before clicking on the decision to reform to avoid loosing all of them and having to replenish. I guess it works the same when converting from tribal to feudal.

Maybe it has to do with converting government.
