Help de-ironmaning my save game?

So I want to remove the ironman status from one of my games so I can use the console. I tried the procedre outlined here: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...onmaning-save-games-step-by-step-instructions , but it didn't work: although the game said that the save has been edited and thus achievements are disabled, I still can't use the console. Is there anything I can do to be able to use the console?

Yeah, that worked. I was being stupid and couldn't read...

Now hopefully, I can finish my game without the Russians taking parts of China...

By the way, is there a way to remove a country flag via console? I lose the DEIC because a colony died to natives, and I want to get it back.

As for the flag, just open the save file and remove it.

The save file was still gibberish, even in Notepad++, but instead, I edited the decision file to not check for the flag in the first place.
