Why not? Probably would not be a problem to rate it 5 and remove mechanics.
However could you suggest Canadian mathematician from the period?

Enver Paşa?

In doing the Leader TT's for OTT, I am envisioning an Ottoman Empire that won/survived WWI.

I am considering putting in Enver Paşa as a TT. However, people have a problem with this then I wont.

He was quite young (born in 1881), and if we go by the agreement that we retire people when they are 65, he would end in 1946. However, seeing as he was such an influential and powerful player in the Ottoman government, I would see him staying around another 5-10 years.

What do you all think?

I've only referenced the wiki page on him but if the Ottoman Empire had been part of a victorious Central Powers in WWI then I don't see why he shouldn't be included in a Turkey TT. He would after all have claimed all the credit for joining the winning side for himself. The end date could be stretched to 1951-1956 perhaps but he appears to have been a failure as a minister for war and commander although very good at politics so the skill level would have to be very average IMO.

Well

Pretty much anyone who was anyone in Mathematics at the time in North America went to Princeton, including plenty of University of Toronto graduates, none of which we kept for any length of time.

At the same time the University of Toronto did produce a steady stream of mathematicians to Princeton, which is more than can be said for many of the other universities with a higher skill and maths.

As a counterpoint, who did IBM have in the 1930's to be a skill 7 math team, similarly for Ratheon. In general I think a lot of the US companies seem to be skilled at their level from 1950's or even late 1960's despite the fact that they start in 1936.

By 1960 I'd argue University of Toronto is far higher than a skill 4, as it was certainly in the top 25 universities in the world at that point (On most surveys today it places top 10 and its worst ranking is around 30th).

One might want to consider splitting some of the teams into decades, and have say 1930's IBM. Then in 1941 replace it with a new team, or drive these teams by events, rather than starting them at more modern power levels.

I want to propose a small change to my new IND code; I'm running a game as India from 1936 and have noticed a few glitches. These are the issues and my suggestions together with new code....My apologies for any errors

Done. Thank you very much for your good work.

The skill of TTs can improve in AoD, thus it will be taken care of in the code somehow.

I'm not sure if this "India" is intended to include present-day Pakistan, but the Quetta Command and Staff College might be a doctrine TT to consider. Founded in 1907, Field Marshals Slim, Montgomery, Auchinleck and Wavell all studied and/or taught there before WW2, as well as FMs Ayub Khan, Blamey and Manekshaw after WW2 (all of them before they reached Field Marshal rank, obviously...).

Added to IND please have a look at the change log.

Thank you, this would be an excellent TT for Pakistan and British India (coded BIN - see page one) although Wavell is already a TT for vanilla India.
Details http://www.cscquetta.com/

I'm planning to get round to Pakistan and perhaps BIN at some point and this should certainly be included.

Independent India needs a land TT for the early period. I have coded it from 1930 to 1947

-My proposal for Nationalism Vietnam
-I have almost delete all vanilla tech team

done

Well, proposal looks okay to me.

However, there are alot of TT's that try to combine all three services into one, and in my experience these usually don't work so well. Also, give the Dockyard Technical Efficiency, not Mechanics. Also, Industrial Engineering is another not often paired with a dockyard.

Also, the Navy has rather high skilled TT's, especially compared to the other two services, if this is to illustrate difference between North and South Vietnam, that is fine. However, if North Vietnam is also going to have the same skill level of Naval TT, then I asked they each be lowered a Skill. What do others think?

I think that South Vietnam should be quite good if backed (as it was) by USA.

All,

Please have a look at the change log and let me know if you are happy or not

All,
Please have a look at the change log and let me know if you are happy or not

Well, I would say I'm not "happy" about TUR, as I do not understand what the deal is.

The code I put up took some time to research, and to make sure it is accurate as can be. I had only removed one TT that was not needed (a Naval Academy), and one that was fake (made by paradox).

However, the code as you have in the list contains many double TT's because of spelling differences.

I am not trying to be a dick, but I am a bit frustrated, it is not making sense to me.:(

Rest assured I am not trying to change for changes sake, nor am I trying to change a balance of a nation.

About the other teams I am fine, I do not know enough to suggest and changes, although I think South Vietnam should not be totally based of reality.

I think we can move that Mihailovic TT to Serbia (he was born in Serbia).

However, I have alot of books on this area (My actaul interests I will be studying for is Balkan History, from 1900-1950 (I am also including in this case, Czech, Slovak, Hungary, Romania and Turkey), I have a good book detailing some of the independance movements within Yugoslavia, and the movements working with the Germans).

So what I mean, is eventually I will get around to the nations that can be made out of Serbia, and be able to replace the Ministry of Defence types TT's. However, I think they are a good solution until then.

Draza Mihailovic is already a TT for SER

I don't know if you noticed this yet, but it appears that the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant (USA) that starts in '51 has it's end year set to '50.

Fixed. Thank you for spotting the error

The University of Toronto and 1930's Math

There are two arguments for giving the UofT Math skill in the 1930's:

1) The University of Toronto producing a steady stream of mathematicians to Princeton (the center of the world for mathematicians at the time).

2) The emerging but powerful statistics department coming out of the commerce program (which was strong enough to give UofT a management skill).

Princeton for the US

The Institute @ Princeton might make sense for the US as a tech team:

In the 1930's they had: Einstein, Dirac, Weyl, Alexander, Veblen, and others.

It also might make more sense to have the Manhattan Project or the Manhattan Engineering District, rather than Oppenheimer.

Oppenheimer has expressed repeatedly that his main contribution to the Manhattan Project was managing it. Such a team should probably be:
