Salutations,
I'm trying to figure out where I'm going wrong in the file architecture for a mini-mod I'm trying to make. I wanted to enable Synth empires to "ascend" and become Psionic-Synths. I thought it would be pretty straight forward enough but obviously it hasn't been the case. I basically set out to duplicate the Transcendence perk but remove the variables that prevent machines from taking it. I was able to get it initially so that the base event utopia.2650 would would fire on a cloned perk for synthetic empires. The event would add the appropriate traits to leaders but not to the species. I tried cloning that event but changing the ID up so that way I could isolate the two event chains and prevent it from adding Psionic abilities to regular robots in spiritualist empires. From there everything has gone haywire. I can't get the trait icon to show up, the duplicate event won't fire when you select the ascension perk, and I can't quite pinpoint where I'm going wrong here. If anyone could help point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it.
