This may be a noob question, but I am playing Germany, 1949. Allied with Brazil, invaded Central America and Mexico, with stupid Brazil annexing the territories after I did the fighting. Have just crossed into Corpus Christi and Brazil keeps annexing. I had a similar problem with Italy in Africa before, but just looked past it. I dont want to give the USA to Brazil.

Is there any to stop an ally from annexing your hardfought territories? Do I have to DoW Brazil? Kick them from the Axis?

Thanks in advance if someone answers.

Whoever supplies the attack gets the province.

Is this true? I thought that it was from whoever ground the attack was launched from (except for puppets).

What you should do is an amphibious assault (could be in a province already won but not take yet) from German/Puppet ground, and then take some provinces in front of the brazilian ones from this province. All these should be yours, so, once you have a German front line, I believe you get the province....

Well, it's the same thing. ;) If you launch your attack from allied territory, it means your troops are stationed in allied territory, which in turn means that the ally pays the supply costs of your units.

One thing to keep in mind: If your beachhead is adjacent to Brazilian territory, supplies will be drawn from Brazil as there is a land connection to an ally which is always favoured over overseas supply lines. So the beachhead needs to be two provinces away from the frontline. ;)

That was actually why I asked which one is different, you see, in this particular situation it makes a differenece....
