I think this has to do with SWMH but feel free to correct me (I'm running that with PB rather than Viet Immersion).

From what I understand, the title of Despot was more to do with the ERE's Emperors family than any random Greek holding a Kingdom tier title. Looking into it briefly, it would seem that vasiliás (Greek for king, I believe) or Regas (what the emperors referred to western european kings as) would be better. I can understand the modders not being concerned by that or deciding Despot is better, but is there a way for myself to change it in the files?

Also, what is the headgear for Hellenic Despot? Is there any mod packs compatible that changes it? It looks a bit weird to me.

From what i have learned through my research Despot is actually very aptly chosen for the period.

The Byzantines chose the title as the one they conferred on rulers of their vassal Kingdoms. Croatia for a short period, but mostly Serbia and Bulgaria.

And later on it spread in use when the ERE broken up following the Fourth Crusade. The rulers of Morea, Epirus, Trebizond (initially) and Serbia used the title continously from then onwards to the end.
