"Its great, makes EU3 even better. "

Many of the things that people are upset about are features i actually enjoy.

HRE addition
Big blobs faster
New CB system
AIs going over the BB limit and getting dogpiled
Ping pong reduced.
New local/domestic policies/events etc.
Changes to westernization (not only changing the tech group but the unit types! ty!!!)
New culture system

There are things that need to be tweeked but over all i thoroughly enjoy this release.

Items needing to be further balanced (IMO):
- HRE passing new rules should be slightly more difficult which each lvl.
- Aggressive Nations with high BB shouldnt be able to become or stay in the HRE (especially if they are annexing other catholics/HRE members)
- AIs shouldnt offer over 100% war score
- Having low morale shouldnt auto destroy units when they massively outnumber the opponent.
- CB system should be tweeked to not give BB/infamy for lands that are your cores no matter which type of war you are in (this last one is more a request than a bug, but its the only thing i dont like about the new CB system)

Im sure there are other things but over all, I love the randomness in HttT.

Seeing small nations blossom into huge blobs by the 1500's. Seeing Eurpoe respond to England or France and make them fail and splinter into multiple factions. Watching Ryzan rise out of the ashes of the Golden Horde and try to form Russia, seeing Byzantium overthrow their turkish oppressors. Seeing Burgandy have a fighting chance against France. This will keep me coming back to see what could happens in the next game, as its different everytime.

This release is the needed shake up that was missing in IN...

It creates a unique experience each game...

Its makes a great game even better, can't wait for things to get balanced out and really go to town, having fun just playing the UK, and watching Empires rise and fall as I stay on my 2 islands with a wicked navy and Army. Its nice to see the ahistorical really shine. would of loved to see Dynasties get more fleshed out but its not CK.

Not exactly "best thing ever released", but certainly best in genre. I am eagerly awaiting patch which will hopefully balance all those HRE and royal marriages unbalanced staff, but this is already great fun as it is now.

Oh, and yes, if there is chance for another expansion, which will make this game even better, I would certainly support it and buy it.

I went for option 2, which isn't bad since I voted against making the expansion in the first place. I'd still like to see a more realistic sociology and economy for EU which is why I wanted EU4 rather than an expansion.

The AI and revamped casus belli system makes playing a major a challenge again and means no more boring stalemates because the gains from war aren't worth the stab hits. Cultural tradition's fun but too easy to keep at 100% mid-to-late game. The HRE could still use some tweaking, but I *like* seeing it unify - it shouldn't be easy, and there should be a way to reduce authority instead of just increasing it, but its nice having a new blob to contend with, even if its not historically accurate. All in all, I've been playing it a ton as of late, because it really is an excellent expansion.

It's not sliced bread.

"Its great, makes EU3 even better."

We can say many little things about HTTT, and should say them in order to improve future Paradox products so we can enjoy them, but in short, it EXPANDS the game with new features that make it feel more complete than before and more enjoyable.

Many games (not only strategy games) have pointless expansions. Either they only add missions/scenarios/units but NO features or they complicate things without adding anything to the experience. In HTTT the new features have a meaning, naturally fit in the game, and make you feel like "game without this was more boring".

Bugs can be solved in patches, a badly designed feature is more difficult to fix in patches. And I thing that all features are well designed. Sure, some could be even better, but it's easier to improve something than to create it from 0. And most features are created from 0.

I will continue paying for those expansions because they improve my experience. Only thing I would suggest if I may is to somehow include an option for players with few time like me. Maybe smaller maps, or scenarios with focused objectives.

It's great, makes EU3 even better. Needs some tweaking but thats normal considering its complexity.

Went with, it's a good upgrade to EU3. With some patching it'll be great.

Pros:
-AI's better
-Magistrates are great
-Advisor system is great
-Heir system is great
-HRE system is far better
-Curia system is also better

Cons:
-Magistrates are way too easy to get with time. Mainly because of the Road Network / Post Office decisions. I'm currently on 6 something Magistrates a year and it's only 1530 or so.
-Since magistrates are so easy to get, it's very easy to have nothing but 5 or 6* advisors even if i'm a complete warmonger and never at peace.
-It's too easy to enforce unions by force. Why bother sucking up huge amounts of infamy and several successive wars with say, France, when I could just Claim Throne / Obscure Documents, grab a Union in one war, then have an enforced ally followed by instant-cores on everything they have? There's not much incetive to wait for their King to die when I could just use the Claim Throne CB and take it now.
-The AI has no regard for how likely it would be to suceed when it claims a throne or who it upsets by doing it.
-Forming the HRE is also too easy.

Ofcourse, since all of those con's are easily patched out, i'm very pleased with my purchase of HTTT.
