https://www.paradoxplaza.com/battletech---heavy-metal/BTBT01ESK0000011.html lists Windows and Mac under "OS Compatibility", not Linux (season pass lists the same). On Steam, Linux *is* listed. Is this an oversight?

I can almost assuredly say that's most likely an oversight and it does support linux, especially since it's just dlc.
Yes, that seems likely, but I'm still going to wait for confirmation before I spend actual money. It's not at all because I won't have time to play anyway before Saturday

Yes, we still support Linux with Heavy Metal. As you can see on that page you will be getting a Steam key, and Steam's product page lists the correct system requirements (including Linux):
