We've also gotten a newborn here at HBS this month, and a couple of people getting married too. November has been exciting!

Thanks folks, this is part of why I post here, best forum community I think I've ever been a part of. Really appreciate the kind words.
I've been looking forward to Heavy Metal for a while. I only recently broke a 3 month break from Battletech, so it would feel just a bit fresher. I'm going to start an entirely new Career Mode save for HM and I'm working on modded Random Lance Spawn Pools for it currently. New variants and DLC Mechs are both going to be in, the Javelin, Flea, Phoenix Hawk and others. Also going for a much larger pool overall for more variety going forward. I'm even toying with making a couple of the Heavy Mechs, namely the Dragon and Rifleman, possible spawns. I'm mighty tempted to set it up so that a Grey Death Legion-esque Locust/Wolverine/Shadow Hawk/Rifleman lance is a possible spawn, if exceptionally rare.

I do hope HBS will consider going back over all the Vanilla Mechs, with an eye to giving all of them their own quirks. Obviously that won't happen until next year though .

We’ve already asked that question of Mitch and Ryan during one of the early HEAVY METAL Livestreams. As Mitch responded, grandfathering Mech Quirks to earlier Mechs is being left up to our esteemed Modding Community.I do hope HBS will consider going back over all the Vanilla Mechs, with an eye to giving all of them their own quirks. Obviously that won't happen until next year though
Though if there are additional DLC in BATTLETECH’s future, hopefully any future HBS Mechs will come complete with a Mech Quirk. (Here I am looking at YOU - Stinger, Wasp, Crusader and Valkyrie!) : )

Just thought of this, will the thumpless Bullshark have a quirk like the other Heavy Metal mechs? Or will it be quirkless as well as thumpless?

I've only played thru the story 1 time, playing sandbox since. Gonna go thru the storyline again for hm should be fun.

At first glance it might look like this Flea is about to pick a fight it can’t win...
...BUT WAIT!
What is that Weapon’s Effect building up just below the Large Laser Beam? Could that be a 4-Critical Space COIL-Small? And with those two Targeting Baffles, just HOW many “Purple” COIL Chevrons did this Flea build up?! Is that Annihilator’s Left Torso about to be obliterated?
These questions and more we will soon be in a position to answer for ourselves.
