We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
When you do role-play, do you wanna play historical, or is it allowed to play ahistorical and use sandbox-elements?
I would be tentatively interested in Spain, do I need to speak the language?
Also I am in Australia so I am not sure if that causes issues.

I am very interested in participating in this! I always felt like, that Hearts of Iron was the perfect game for such a role-playing game.
A normal role would suit me, but anything above that is also ok. I speak english and german.

Question: if you say "play in-role": do you mean that the Führer-player has to play like a dumbfounded maniac and makes stupid decisions or do you mean that people should just play inside their hierarchy and act like a person from that time, but not THE actual person they portray?

ive written some emails to some youtubers, maybe we get this going on a big youtube channel with some luck.
Your positions so far are all accepted! Looking forward to it. I will open the steam group tomorrow or later, once i got the time.
With the roleplay: You dont need to act as an psychopathic maniac if you play as hitler, you just need to play within your hirachy.
In fact, you could even, lets say "ally" with the US as Germany, as long as it makes sense and there has been believable cause/reason to do so - and of course diplomatic action leading to it.
As long as you play in your hirachy and as realistic as you can (for instance, why would america fight on germanys side? Reasons? e.g), you can do whatever the game leads you to do. Just dont start the game with the mindset : Oh ye, i will do this and this and this, - and just execute your plans, instead play your role and develop your plans as the game progresses.
The reason why i didnt add nordic countrys is due to the fact that there is a player limit of 32 players in the game, and we need more than 3 players for each big country to make it somewhat realistic

Hey Take, once the game gets closer to a realistic release date, you should start asking for people's steam and update it in the OP every time a new ID is posted and perhaps it could be stickied and we could use this thread as a multiplayer platform for HOI4.

About the group thing: Ye, if it works out good, we will continue starting new games after the first game ends, however most likely with modifications, like first world war mod, e.g (once its there).

This will be interesting. You may serve the fatherland well.
On a side note.. Podcat, Johan & Groogey could play a big country together, like USA; i guess it would be quite interesting if some of the devs joined... i bet johann and podcat would be good in acting in character.

Well, thats nice, however it will be your country leader who will decide your position, so if you going to be in charge of the navy, you have to talk about with achmed, who will probably be tojo.
