I have a couple clarification questions:

#1) When you say to leave it blank for a field (the way I did above), is that how you wanted it or should I have left the headers out, as well?

#2) Would it make things at all easier to add an "Author:" entry, so that you could just cut and paste a writers name (no chance for spelling errors, unless the author is the one to have misspelled his name).

And thank you for doing this valuable service for the forum community!:D

You could publish your post in one of two ways:

As you posted is fine:

Nation: Germany
Title: Total War - Goebbel's dream comes true
Start Date: 1936
End Date:
Mod:
Link: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...d.php?t=404543
Category: Gameplay/house rules/forum vote.

Or, eliminate the spots you’re not going to use:

Nation: Germany
Title: Total War - Goebbel's dream comes true
Start Date: 1936
Link: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...d.php?t=404543
Category: Gameplay/house rules/forum vote.

Your choice.

2) With hard to write names I often just copy and paste the author’s name located on the side anyway, at least if it’s something that may be prone to cause problems with my spellcheck. :)

Two Quick Notes:

1. Post in this thread if you want your AAR to appear in the library. If you don’t post in this thread when you start an AAR, your AAR will likely be one of the last to be entered. If you don't post in this thread when you end an AAR, it will be listed as ongoing until at least the following month.

2. If you want to help finish the HOI2 library, contact me for details. Take a month, a week or a few days worth of AARs. Or, if you’re feeling really ambitions, take a few months. Again, contact me for details so I can assign you dates that haven’t already been covered.

As some of you may know I’ve kept a monthly update of my plans for the HOI2 Library in the General Discussions area the last two months. I’m now making the move to the Library Update Thread in hopes that I can gather a few more HOI2 eyes.

Blurbs:

First mentioned last month it was my hope that a few volunteers or active AAR writers would offer blurbs for their own ongoing/completed AARs. After receiving not a single piece of mail on this subject, I’m closing down the idea.

Dates and Future Updates:

I’ve only added a few months during this last month of June and I’d expect the same output during my - expected to be - very busy months of July and August. However, when September returns I ought to be able to add many of the older AARs to the list.

Want to Help the HOI2 Library?:

Due to June being a surprisingly busy month and the news that July and August will likely be busier for me, I’m looking for help to catch up on the HOI2 Library. There’s a few reasons for this: There’s about 90 pages of AAR titles and its impossible for me to go through them before the New Year. If you choose to volunteer (contact me so I can assign you a few dates, be sure to tell me how much you can handle) you’d have to take a list of: 1) The title 2) Author name 3) Date began and ended 4) Genre type (one of five) 5) If any mods were used. I can tell you how to speed through it and how to look at each AAR so it doesn’t take more than one minute.

Enlarging Countries:

I was going to try to do this in the month of June but now I’m going to concentrate on doing it in the month of July. I’ll be making the Country one size larger than the rest of the point size so your country is easier to find. I’ll be attempting to do this with the author names and mods later on.

Mods:

Once again I have to push this back, likely to September. I’ll still be adding to the Mod Section of the Library but the most popular mods won’t be on the first post of the Library until I feel I have enough AARs to tell me what have been the most popular for AAR telling through HOI2's history.

Use the Update Thread:

If you want your AAR in the Library, mention it in the Update Thread. If you don’t then I won’t add it to the Library until the Library is near completion. Its true, you’ll still end up in the HOI2 Spotlight if you don’t place your AAR in the update thread but you won’t be added to the Library. If you don’t want to spend the time or don’t have the desire to want your AAR in the library, then you shouldn’t expect me to shoulder the burden until I've caught up. Follow the basic guideline here.

Lastly:

No matter what, the HOI2 Spotlight will always be updated every Saturday at some point. Sometimes, depending on where you are in the world, the update may be as soon as late Friday night or early Sunday morning.

A quick word to all: I’ll be going through and editing the “Ongoing” AARs this weekend and will do so at the beginning of every month. If you find your AAR titled Abandoned, I can only say that, well, it is. And if you want it changed later on when you’ve provided an update, you’ll have to contact me since I can’t go through every abandoned AAR every month.

Secondly, no longer will I provide monthly updates. You can find all update information underneath the Hearts of Iron pic in the HOI2 Library beginning sometime this weekend. I will likely update the information (likely dates completed for the library) every weekend.
