I think Germany focus way to much on infantry. It's doctrine are about tanks, Germany basically plays without a doctrine. What was need was to take time and redesign the whole German army instead of continue on the same path.

Yeah.. a whole lot of lost bonuses to Breakthrough and Armored Org..

Seems Bjorn/Daniel would have been better served to have gone the Mechanized side of the tree.

Nope, none of his move was in any instance "great".
So what exactly he did?
He started war with Sweden with commiting not enough troops for this task. That war was supposed to be fast but it got extra long.
Then he decided to invade SU. Just before winter... why? because fans were asking for it (maybe, cause I dont see any other logical reason behind that).
..
He is going to loose :)

Well, I agree that from your point of view, he was not doing great.
Although I would justify his attempt of attacking USSR during winter, since he thinks that he has more troops there and he can win there. And after his pushes forward towards Moscow, which will be heavily forted I guess, he will do so in spring-summer days, so he won´t get to the situation when he would attack Moscow during Russian unforgiving winter.
I agree though, that he was supposed to send more troops to Sweden or leave it completely.
I don´t think he was just attacking everyone without thinking about its consequences. He seems to me as a skilled player who is certainly not playing HOIIV for first time.
Overall, I think he will fall because if USA send any help there and stop being passive, Germany won´t stand a chance.

Then he decided to invade SU. Just before winter... why? because fans were asking for it (maybe, cause I dont see any other logical reason behind that).
Then, Johan did a smart move and landed a troops in sweden behind german frontline. Daniel failed to secure land he gained and is going to loose it, his units will be probably cutted off near stockholm.
Then Daniel took away another group of divisions and moved them to counter Johan´s landing at Sweden, what will be anyway definetly not enough if Johan brings more divisions as reinforcements.
By pulling out those divisions from SU front, he wont be able to advance much further and will face organized SU in full might.
Also, he comminted an army to northern shores of France for an invasion of Britain, that is not gonna happen anywy.

No, Daniel didnt made any single good move.
He just grab more that he can chew, what actually did Germans in reality.
He is going to loose :)

Daniel did just fine with Sweden. Sure he didn't send enough troops, but it wasn't a rush because his plans for Scandinavia aren't urgent. In fact it is Johan who made the mistake of sending troops to Sweden because they will be lost if he doesn't evacuate them, which he will have to do or risk having them encircled. Don't look at the number of divisions, Daniel may have fewer in Sweden but those fewer are stronger/better and Stockholm will fall shortly. Especially if Daniel returns next week (fingers crossed on that :) )

His invasion of the USSR was genius. Winter destroys equipment. He made sure that by the time he has a giant front and long supply lines it will actually be spring allowing him to finish off Moscow and make major gains all in warmer weather.

I am confident had Germany not been controlled by 3 different players with 3 different plans, Daniel would prove to be the most tactically successful.

If Daniel is allowed to continue the game going forward, which he should because no offence to anyone else but he is the best at explaining things and showing us how things work, he will win.

To me it looks like the German divisions in Sweden will be out of supplies and he can not send more divisions to Sweden nor withdraw the divisions that are in Sweden.

Johan have better divisions in my opinion because his doctine is better.

This. And he definately quickly identified some weaknesses in Jakobs buildup and did his best to patch up those holes.

Naval there was nothing to be done by the point he got the game transferred. I think his USSR attack was driven by the thught that he might only hape one episode to play so at least do something and show what he can do on a tactical level and it wasn't the worst decision.
Peoples here say Germany-USSR Alliance but peoples have to realize that USSR already broke its Nonaggression Pact and was on the war path. I am unsure if that alliance thing would have been possible.

I hope he gets to continue this as he really is a natural as far as explaining everything. And this is the first time ever that I have really seen how to wage war on a tactical level using a combination of Battleplan and individual unit moves. Made me much more happy with the whole Battleplanner thing seeing this in action.

As for Sweden lets take the land route through Finland for reuniting with those Axis forces :)

Finland is in the allies and we have seen in the finland www they have a few divisions and they will free sweden with johans support. the german divisions in sweden are lost. no air supriority no naval supriority ne chance sending more troops in there.

Attacking Russia at this point was a bad decision. this was just nonsense, sorry. and his battleplan was not a real plan, just one big line where all troops go slowly. sorry to tell you but there is no way he can win this. there are allot of mistakes done on the german side in all 4 www we have seen. now its winter and there is no diffrence between russian or polish winter snow is snow in game. and atacking in winterconditions is always a bad idea, the advantage is on the defenders side.
takticaly there was not one encirclement done on the whole front, he is playing a war of atrittion with not enough tank divisions his manpower will drop and russia will have the advantage in the long run...
england has nearly 3 times as many fighters as germany has, so maintaining air supriority back will be a hard work.

one of the most capital failures in all 4 www we have seen is the switching of the produktion lines on the german side they lost alot of eficiency.
i could go on and on, but thats enough as advise for now ;-)

One of the first things Johan said in todays WWW was: We're gonna play Speed 1, because people complained and we couldn't show off some of our features.

I love this company so much. Really. They actually listen to their costumers and respond to issues as fast as possible.

... and that's coming from a guy, who is constantly complaining about some features of this game lately. I really love how much they care about their product and their costumers/fans.

Edit: Only saw 2 mins of WWW. I hope, it's a good episode.

Edit 2: 5 mins in: They even said that the new guy knows a lot more about battle plans and he's better in showing them off. Wow. Thanks a lot!

Some points are going really wrong in this game:

1. How could the UK land troops in eastern and western sweden? Thats totally wad!
The Öresund and Skagerak should be closed for enemy travel.
If this will not be fixed, the US and UK can land all over on the german coast, even in Königsberg.

2. UK has over 100 Divisions in 1940, even with the French colonial Divs, thats totally over the top.
The UK had 49 Divisions in 1945 plus the Commonwealth Divisions.

3. The US has 150 Divisions in 09.1940, oh boy.
If the US is able to field in 1940 150 Divs., how many will be created until the end of the war? 400?

4. The US joining in 09.1940 the allies, WW2 will be over in 1942 or 1943.
I didn´t saw, if Japan attacked pearl or declared war on the US.

...
Definately, it is only 75 miles as the Stuka flies from Stettin (Szczecin port city on Baltic Sea) to Berlin :)

And no, no pearl harbor and Japan did not DOW first.

Daniel kind of explained that one. Hes behind in infantry supply so he cant build new units. I guess Germany is supposed to have more troops by now.

One question: Who is "Heinz 'Dolfo' Hafner"?

There's a Anton "Toni" Hafner, a Oskar-Heinrich "Heinz" Bär and a Adolf "Dolfo" Galland, but no Heinz "Dolfo" Hafner...

Please tell me that's only because of the german censored version and there are real names in HOI 4.

Edit: Heinz is short for Heinrich. I should know, it's my dad's name. Dolfo is another way of saying Adolf. So calling someone called Heinz "Dolfo" does not make sense at all.

The WWW definitely shows a lot of balance issues. The game is still in Alpha. A lot more balancing will happen before release. I'm not worried about that as much as seeing the new game mechanics during these steams. So far I like what I am seeing. The game has amazing potential.
