In the stream they said they gonna save/reload until Poland decides it's war! Probably doing this with guarantee was easier.

This. I'm from Spain and I can assure you Franco would be quite upset to see his country painted in red after he used so much money, time and efforts trying to eradicate the "rojos". (BTW, Franco himself looks really old for the time)
Plus, Republican Spain just before our Civil War was lead by the "Frente Popular", a coalition of left-wing parties which included socialists, anarchists, and communists. They ARE the reds!

Some things which bother me a bit.
-Battleplan gives a bonus of 50%? This is huge. In other Topics there was mentioned that it is still possible to micro every division by yourself. But a bonus of 50% seems to make this irrelevant because you miss the 50%.
-the frontline looks like pure chaos. I have no idea where the most units are heading, what they are doing and how many troops are in a province. I liked the counters in HOI 3 much better especially the stacksystem with the small little arrows which indicated the direction of the attack. This makes it really hard to get a fast impression of the situation at the frontline.
-the airwar looks so messy. You have hardly an idea what each wing or airforce is doing. You assign planes to an area and your army gets a bonus or malus while your plane count ticks down due losses. You don't control the planes directly and you can't focus single divisions or areas where you wanna hit the enemy hard. Would be nice if you could control the airwings by yourself and micro them and support and focus small areas. It makes it impossible to support your concentrated forces (Schwerpunkt/Spearhead). I wanna have direct control.
This really bothers me. I want to give my planes the order to attack THAT particular division or THAT particular fleet. If it's 41 and I'm facing Tiger tanks I want to focus them with my CAS.

I just watch the stream. And they played on speed 2. It seems so stressful to play. click click click fast fast fast here and there. i was hoping for a more relaxing game. i dont like to stress with this type of a game. need to pause every minute to manage all. i havent seen speed 1 yet i think but damn

I think they should have played on speed 1. Speed 2 With pausing is probably ok in SP, but not in MP.

They did not have to do that much really, the battleplan ai did handle Poland very well.
Overall it seems to have gone very wrong for Germany, the +500k manpower loss will hurt alot, they also have significant lack of equipment.
