As Procyanide said as well, it is. To be more specific, you can let another person be in charge of a theater (For instance, if you're playing as the United Kingdom, and want your friend to manage the overseas theaters).

I wonder if the development length would have been as long if they'd not bothered with the silly 'total war' style 3d models and trying to make it pretty. All the extra fluff has really dampened my original enthusiasm for the game, I just wanted more strategy. I'll still buy it though, but only if the game files can still be edited.
