Guys com on at least let us pre order for god sake, I want to know when this game will be done, so I can finally go ahead organize a session with friends, it's okay if it's next year just tell us so we will not worry to death.

What could you possibly win from preordering? The game won't come out any sooner and the Devs have less incentive to make it good, since you already paid for it.
I know PDX are some of the few good guys left in the industry, but people who preorder ruin the gaming industry. Just don't preorder as a principle and if you must have it just buy it on release day. Please!

Hmm, not necessarily. In some cases pre-orders means they (developers in general, NOT Paradox specifically) can keep working on the game instead of releasing an unfinished piece of crap.

The only game I've really played extensively made by Paradox was Crusader Kings II. This was two years ago or so.
I've learned of HoI4 a few weeks ago by randomly clicking around on you-tube. I think I've looked it up every day since.
It looks really well made. I love the art for icons and portraits.
The decision to postpone release and polish only makes me respect the dev more.
That said, I'm eager to learn more about its eventual release. I check this topic every day.

For EU IV, the beta sign-up started ca. 5 months before release. As they started the sign-up for the beta, I would guess 11 + 5 = 4. So maybe March/April. Of course this is just a random guess.

While I understand your concern, in that case the formula is correct. 11 (November) + 5 (Months) = 4 (April). It also works with non-Military time.

That's the opposite of how a business works. A business needs cash flow in order to operate, without a consistent revenue, Paradox can't pay wages or develop their games, and goes bust. People who don't preorder are ruining the games industry because the companies who are near the verge of collapse but have good ideas are eaten up by giant corps like EA.

No offense but it seems that you don't know how a market works.
Paradox finances its games with a mix of excess gains from their last game and probably some sort of loan they take at the bank. They get their money back (hopefully) if their game is good enough to convince the consumer (and until now I think they do a pretty good job).
I'm not talking about PDX now, as I trust them to deliver, but it's just a principle to apply:
If you preorder a game (similar to Early Access), the developer already HAS the money without delivering the product. This leads to less incentive to deliver a good product, thereby pushing good developers out of the market since bad developers with a great marketing (*cough* EA, Ubisoft *cough) profit from that. Read about "Market of Lemons" in Wikipedia and check out "TotalBiscuit preorder" on YouTube.
You don't pay the plumber before he fixes your toilet, so don't pay a developer before he finishes his game. Just in general.
If there is a developer you trust super-duper-heavily, and you think he absolutely needs this money, go ahead. But know about the risk you take and the damage you might be doing to the industry, if the Dev turns out to be a scumbag.
