They are probably starting with the dlcs by now...

I suppose music DLC (soviet army choir) and cosmetics DLC (romanian latrine digging company uniform sprites) might well be already in the making. Paradox makes great games, but their DLC-practices are kind of annoying.
Although I have to say, that I am totally fine with lots of the CK2 DLCs. They create the DLCs after the release of the game, and at least effects of the major DLCs can be consumed "passively" by non-buyers. (E.g. I can conquer India, even if I do not buy the "Rajahs of India" DLC. I just cant play as an Indian nation). This is a very fair and consumerfriendly approach.

The uniform DLCs on the other hand are way overpriced, considered the rather small amount of work they actually require to create.

well i guess it was already stated many times but making cosmetic or music dlcs while still developing the base game doesnt mean they are doing sth. bad or unkosher or whatever, it doesnt even take ressources away from the main game cause normaly the musicans or the graphic artists are fired after they finished their work or they are rearranged to another project but would stay on the main game cause they couldnt and hence wouldnt provide anything to the remaining work. with paradox dlc strategy for such cosmetic stuff they found a way to make use of ressources which would otherwise have no use. and with the money earned through that they can sustain to improve the game for much longer than normaly would be possible.

you only have to look how much content was added to eu 4 and ck 2 its impressive and was never seen before the dlc era. sure there were expansions but seldom more than 2 and they dont have that much content ass all the dlcs. i really like paradox approach besides some minor inconvinience when they implement a feature i can see but not use without dlc but on the other hand i still can play the previous version if it annoys me to much and i wouldnt loose anything cause i stay at the same level without the latest dlc as i would when this dlc wouldnt exist. so paradox i appreciate your work :D

so paradox i appreciate your work :D

I know, I also saw TotalBiscuit talk about that and I think it is a kind of valid point.
I also wholeheartedly concurr on your statement about appreciating paradox.

Honestly I think Paradox and Bethesda are few of the last bigger developers/publishers left, which can be "trusted" by the consumer. Which leads me to consider buying HoI4 and Fallout4 even before they go on a big sale, just to support the Devs. Which says much, because where I come from, people are even more hostile to spending money than the greedy scotsmen...

The region I come from is ruled by a proud tribe, which also conquered territory far outside its homelands. Namely Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin. We drove away the local population and it is now in our utter control :-D

Nobody wants to see a repeat of the HOI3 launch where it takes 6 months of patching before the game is playable.
But please hurry up!
