I think that the supply situation needs to be fixed for sure. No more just getting supplies from one location. And why can't you send supplies through puppets? They are your damn puppets, you control them mostly.

I haven't ever had THF crash, I don't know why someone is complaining about that. I quite enjoyed a lot of the changes from 2 to 3 once they got fixed. I like the 3 research system better, which I thought I would never say at first.

The other thing that I would to see is a war date that isn't fixed. WW2 shouldn't always start on time. Maybe it starts a year earlier or a year later. This would add more replay value if you want to take the same nation along a different path.

HOI4 eh ?, we've come a long way from EU 1 :)

Looking forward to what innovations can be made, and of course the raging debates in the forums...:eek:o

And as usual, a re-install of previous versions on to my computer to whet the appetite for a new release.

A lot to live up to Paradox Dev Team, but im sure you'll nail it.

HOI3 was the only HOI I've played, it's much harder going back in time to games so I probably won't play the older games but I am a little concerned about the changes. Obviously Paradox just wants to make more money, doing that means appealing to a wider audience end of story. To me, that's a recipe for ultra suckage. I hate to be cynical but their words mirror a little bit the words used by developers who have created some catastrophic disappointments. Rome II is a recent example. No fanboy attacks please - wait until after the metacritic.

Whats the point of a sequel without changes?

As someone who's a big fan of WWII games I'm very happy to see a fourth Hearts of Iron being released! I think you can never release too many World War 2 games. Currently hooked on Arsenal of Democracy and hope to be gripped with HoI4 when it's released (fingers crossed the release won't be a disastrous repeat of HoI3!)

Depends on the changes. Graphical improvements and better content doesn't hurt. What I can interpret is that Paradox will take away complexity and immersion, and try to make a simplified version of the game which a donkey can play. I am open to the possibility of being wrong.

complexity for complexity's sake is terribad.

take Go, for example. Anyone can learn the rules, few can master it.

Supreme Ruler 1936 is a disappointment so far. It's just spamming units while the AI will take care of the rest. So I'm really looking forward HoI IV; I like the combat system and province system of HoI more. Thanks for all the hard work!

the whole supreme ruler series is a big disappointment. It would be so nice if they would have a much better AI, interface and the speed must be much better as well. The speed factor is so bad because they think that every unit should preform "spotting" and all other useless stuff.

Victory at all costs? Yep, at the cost of cancelling EvW...

+1

We'll have a ration of the same again... Now, when HoI 3 has been improved at least thanks to mods, we must start from scratch with a new horribly developed game, and to wait for bugs to be fixed, DLC to be launched to make more money, and mods to be released... Sincerely I'm tired of the same.

But I could be wrong, perhaps there will be some different and revolutionary, apart from a 3D map (which is a waste of time IMHO), and the HOI3 annoying issues will be corrected. I don't trust on it, but maybe I'm completely wrong (I wish)

HoI3 made big leaps in giving us more options and customization, but at the expense of user-friendliness, and the learning curve got a bit too steep as a result, making it hard to bring new people into the series, despite all the advances.

From the first HoI4 dev diary, it sounds like PDX is now going in the right direction: a return to the user-friendliness of HoI1 and HoI2, but without sacrificing all the detail of HoI3.

I'm really looking forward to the new game. If EU4's hotjoin feature is in, the multiplayer experience is going to be incredible. Hopefully the dedicated/standalone server will get some more love and improvement too. Can't wait! :D

User friendliness in HoI2? No I don't remember it being so user friendly at all...

unless it doesn't work, just like eu4's hotjoin feature
