What makes you think that the pic was taken in 1936?Why does Japan have 71 divisions?
In 1936, they had 19 - 23 depending on how you count it.
Are these just small formations which haven't been grouped into Japan's historic massive divisions?
A nationalist toaster, what a bold idea!
It's kind of counter-intuitive though since it looks like a toaster assembly line. Something you would more associate with the prospering 1950's USA where every family can afford all kitchen appliances. How an overproduction of toasters represents austerity (as in "reducing consumer goods need") is quite puzzling.
I would go with this image: slim Japanese man wearing a white, torn wifebeater while eating a bowl of rice with a smile on his face.
Agreed, there are like NO options at all for allying with the UK (Who are pretty much just a slightly less militarized copy of the UK). Let's remember that Japan was all in all a democracy officially until atleast 1940 but that the constant incompetence to rail in Right wing killers led to the failure of law. I am disappointed that the Hokushin Ro has been almost completely neglected as to what it actually does, how to accomplish anything with it knowing how bad Japan was in heavy industries and resources, but most of all the complete silence on sucking up indonesia and such from netherlands without ending up in conflict with the USA. Why can't Japan unite with the US against communism and facism for example? Why is this not an option? Yes I know it would make a pretty boring game since that would basically have Japan sit and do about nothing at all. Actually, never mind the last ones, but it would be nice for some more diplomatic options with the US. It has also not been discussed just how Japan is supposed to deal with the US. Spoilers*oh i wanted a way to remake the Anglo-Japanese Alliance :'(

We saw a 1939 pic and a battle of Midway in the DD.
THIS.So if China refuses the Chinese border incident event, what territory does Japan get? Beiping and Tianjin?
How long can China keep refusing war with Japan, what do they lose, or can they only do this once?
If they refuse does Chaing Kai Shek get removed as leader.
Does this mean Japan can start war with China 70 days after the game starts?
Gah! They are all army planes! Where is the Zero?enjoy stats

I can only hope!It will be probably be the carrier variant of the Ki-27.
His majesty is "Toasted"A bowl of rice would be better, maybe.
Well from WWW we know, that it is like that for GBI can only hope!
It will be probably be the carrier variant of the Ki-27.
I'm curious what dealing with the warlords does.
I think you need to depose of Chiang Kai Shek and the KMT power structure before you can start to deal with specific members of KMT government.
Can I deal only with the non Russian, Soviet leaders? When Stalin is still in charge. I'm confused.
Also what does the puppet choice do? Not go to war but China becomes a Japanese puppet? So confused.
As I understand it, the NANSHIN RO or Strike south will probably focus on taking care of UK Netherlands and of course, the US. The way I see it, aslong as you don't do NANSHIN RO then the war with the US can be avoided. Having said that, it makes the Indian National army and Improved National spirit a tricky questions because it doesn't say whether these lead to direct conflict with the West or not or simply just hurts the West without directly fighting them. I really wish we could see what each of them do, but again, from what I can tell only the NANSHIN RO will be direct action against the US. It feels really vague as the HOKUSHIN RO since you can get rubber from Indochina and this synthetic oil from your industries. Who knows, maybe American AI chooses to fight Japan directly and lead to war anyways, who knows. Also, what the hell is synthetic oil? From what I can tell it is pretty much just normal oil without the crude materials, but that costs significantly more, hench the rise in need of time to develop that focus. It might work and prevent an AGGRESSIVE conflict with the US, but again, it will take time, time Japan might not have, then again if Japan decides to be more nice and choose to not actively pick enemies left and right, it might work out in the long run; maybe not as fun as a ORTHODOX game, but definitely a more realistic one. (LOL realism.)I'm a bit surprised Japan has no options to align with the Allies or the US or USSR instead of Germany. Though I guess thats what the Puppet Route is about.
