Strange there isn't a "fate of Switzerland" decision - The German leadership would certainly have liked to have added Switzerland's territory to its own, although this would have left the Nazi leadership with nowhere to stash their ill-gotten gains.

Question: Is the decisions tree constructed automatically based on the script, or do you have to first code the decisions script and then separately create the tree?

There was even a war plan for this. Operation Tannenbaum. They wanted to split Switzerland between Germany and Italy (giving Italy Valais, Grisons and Ticino). And maybe France too.

Will be there any Focus to turn Germany back to a Democracy, like the BRD before the 1940'? Read in another DD that there would be some countries with that possibility of change the government type, so I wonder what you guys are hidding in those Focus Tree screenshots :D

All countries can change their regime, it doesnt depend of the Focus Tree but your government. Check the previous DD to see how it works ;)

I'd imagine that in a Plan Z scenario you'd want to keep the approaches to the German ports as free as possible. Befriending the Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands would allow you to do that diplomatically. If you can keep these countries out of the war or even as allies, you could potentially have an easier time taking out the Royal Navy than if you have to first conquer them.

Why is "Danzig or War" required for "Operation Weserübung"? Would a war with the western allies no longer happen if Poland is befriended, so that submarine bases in Norway and securing the iron shipments from Sweden would no longer be required? A war with Greece, or even just the expansion into the Balkans, would presumably drag the UK into war, no?

I've seen this focus in a video they did, but that was a long time ago they might have changed it

I am not seeing any dam. Where did you found it? What I am seeing are factories though. I don't remember ever noticing them on map nor it being mentioned. Do that mean that factories are represented by province, even if they are build on states? Does that mean you know exactly which provinces to target when wanting to seize industrial capacity?
Oh, sorry. I found out my mistake. That is not dam. It 's factories. Thanks your advice.

Can someone just explain, from a historical standpoint, what does Plan Z have to do with befriending The Netherlands and Scandinavia?
The idea was based on the realization that the Royal Navy would be too strong for the Kriegsmarine and that Germany in any case would be subject to a complete naval blockade if Britain got involved in a war. So plan Z was not meant to compete with the Royal Navy but rather the French Navy.
Originally the assumption was based on Poland as the main conflict-point on land and that only France would intervene while Britain would stay neutral. German-British relations were quite favourable by mid 30's and Germany was uninterested in a war with Britain even when it went into full swing and had several plans for different peace offers with Britain (in the end resulting in the British War Cabinet Crisis in 1940). So backtracking a bit to the days of plan Z the befriending NL (with whom the Germans collaborated in submarine development under Versailles) and Scandinavia would mean less to no French influence in the North Sea and the Baltic at the same time creating difficulties for the potential enemies of Germany to enact a blockade. A hostile NL and Scandinavia would put the Kriegsmarine in an impossible situation even in "home waters" and at risk of suffering a complete blockade.
