And your point is???

Jeez, I'm sorry if I hurt someone's feeling, but some people do like to complain about nonsense.
Like the guy talking about NATO symbols. They are in the game, but he still complains that they are not.

About The lack of fuel: I find that complaint very reasonable, so there are points where the developers could make the game better, but OVERALL the HOI4 is an improvement over HOI3, yet some people still say that it will be a dumbed down game. That's my point.

That's a short list if you compare it to Safe-Keeper's post of improvements.
Also some of your points are not true.

Nato symbols: they will be in the game.
No air units: nonsense, every last one of your planes is represented on the map.
No independent units smaller then a division: Hoi3 also had divs as a basic unit. You could build 1 brigade divs, but you will be able to build smaller divisions in Hoi4 too. Also you mention mods as if they won't be avaliable for Hoi4.
No OOB: I consider that as a positive aspect, but I guess this is personal preference.
Supplies, fuel: I'm not happy with the lack of fuel and ammo need for units, but this is the only aspect I don't like so far and I'm willing to give it a try before I judge it.
I said NATO counters. They are not in and they will be not in. Maybe this is a surprise for you but it has been said and repeated.
I said "no independent units smaller than a division (in HOI3 in several mods we had even battalions)". They are not in and they will be not in. Maybe this is a surprise for you but it has been said and repeated.
Air units are abstracted. If for you it is the same of having a the physical unit on the map than I can guarantee you that you will find a surprise.
No money? For you is ok for me is not. Just for your information: The sinews of war are infinite money Marcus Tullius Cicero
No supplies? For you is ok for me is not. Just for your information: An army marches on its stomach Napoleon Bonaparte
No OOB? For you is ok for me is not. As you said it's is a matter of preferences but you should agree that in any army do exists an OOB.
No unit leaders? For you is ok for me is not. As you said it's is a matter of preferences but you should agree that having Rommel at the command of his panzer division adds immersion.

Anyway as I said many times those that like the game as designed will buy it and I really hope that they will enjoy it. From my side I would like to see HOI3 licensed as I prefer realism over arcade and "fun".

Nato counters: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ter-thread-to-end-all-counter-threads.885796/
Air units: Which one is bigger abstraction? You have 4 units of fighters against 3 units of bombers OR 34 fw190s and 87 Me109s fightning aganst 76 B17s and 30 p51 mustangs over normandy?

For the rest, you may have a point, but those are personal preferences apart from the supply imo.
Also you forgot about the many other things the game will ADD to the game(Safe-Keeper listed most of them) , which all adds to the complexity and immersion. You may not like them, but to say that it will be less realistic is nonsense. We are talking about a video game, and neither hoi1-2-3-4 was or will be realistic a 100%.

Just to clear something up NATO counters, or at least the same counters a HoI3, are in the game as an option.

You could mod HoI3 to have units as small as battalions, they were not in the base game and there is nothing saying they can't be modded into HoI4. It's a bit rich to complain about it when an unmodded HoI4 will be virtually identical to an unmodded HoI3 was in that respect.

Thank you, I forgot to answer to his complaint about the batallion sized units, but my answer would be the same as yours. I might add to this that while in Hoi3 the brigade was the building blocks of a division, in Hoi4 the batallion will be, so it will be even easier to mod in what he wants.
Also there is nothing stopping you from building a division with only 3-4 batallions, and calling it a brigade, or whatever.

Just to explain this once more: there are no complaints. Paradox is doing what deems it is right to do and this is ok. Some people do like the game as designed and this is ok as well. The same for people that don't like it. The only thing is that everyone has it own legitimate wish and preferences.

PS
I missed the NATO counters (thank you for the link). Regarding the rest I believe that you understand the difference between having a division made of different units (brigades and battalions as in HOI3) that you can reorganize (split and recompose) at will and having a template for a division you cannot reorganize (e.g. you cannot detach on the spot some brigades to form a kampfgruppe).

47 pages, I see oil-gate is still in full swing.
Yes, but it seems people are less irritated :)

Back in the day when Hoi3 came out there were people who were out of their minds about how the game will be dumbed down from Hoi2. Just like as people are complaining now about Hoi4.
Nothing new under the sun ;) .

Frankly, I think they took fuel usage out of the game as part of a conspiracy to get us to stop complaining about the lack of a real counter option. Genius.

Well Mr Bond you have discovered our little secret and then we are going to put the real Counters back in to stop people complaining about the fuel.

Might as well.
I acknowledge the improvements, but they aren't that many, some are minor and welcome, some are changes not improvements, and then we have big improvements indeed, on production and diplomacy. And then of course you list improvements that in fact are completely the opposite. I guess its a question of opinion, I for one, when I see a gaming series that is about realistic grand war strategy, I won't list the complete removal of your control over your divisions as an improvement... plenty of other examples.

It doesn't matter how much improved the game will be on certain areas, if it lacks the depth in the critical areas its a fail in my opinion. For example, the lack of fuel, its like playing an realistic First Person Shooter with infinite stamina.

I didn't list "improvements", I listed features that were more deep or complex than they were in HOI3. Whether you see them as improvements is up to you.
