Hearts of Iron III versus Darkest Hour for the end of a mega-campaign?

Having no real experience with playing either HoI 3 or DH, I wonder what the advantages of either would be for succeeding Victoria 2 in a mega-campaign. Anyone care to comment?

Edit: I did find this thread. I'd still like to hear informed opinions if anyone cares to share them.

Personally, I prefer DH - but it is an entirely personal preference.

I have to agree with Mr.C, I think DH is a better choice, but that's also due to my preference for DH over HoI3.

DH is a game which I prefer out of the two you mentioned, but that said I think the game that would have the most potential for a such campaign would be HoI4.

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I've no fixed plans for a mega-campaign, but I have at least two CK games to date that might eventually fit the bill, so it's good to get ideas.
