Yes, you're missing something. If you already have everything, you can freely ignore the subscription. You don't need to worry about it.I have no problem with coming out with a service like this. But it kinda sticks it to people who have already paid for all the DLC. Especially if they did it recently.
Whats the advantage of subscribing now if you have everything?
I feel like this is a poor attempt at a "season pass" approach used for lot of console games.
Am I missing something?
If only they didnt shove it down our (ppl who paid for dlc) throats this would be true. Instead I need to download a stupid mod to remove the Ads, like Fallout 4 and Bethesda's money grabbing paid mods.Yes, you're missing something. They've already said new DLCs will still be for sale, and not just for sub, too.
The sub is useful for new people who want to try the game w/o buying all the dlcs on top of it immediately. Five bucks to try it all. Then they can decide if they want all of them, or just pay a little when they want to play.
Their money, their choice.
The existence of the sub option is something you can freely ignore, now and in the future, if you want to buy the DLCs going forward.
Well, I figured it out. It tracks only ironman games.I give up trying to make career profiles work. I turned it on too, and it made no difference.
After more testing, I found that it only tracks Ironman CAPABLE games, not just Ironman. So if you use any mod that changes the checksum, then nothing is recorded.Well, I figured it out. It tracks only ironman games.
Cool addition that is currently useless for large portion of playerbase. I hope it's a bug and not intended this way.
If a mod that is not "ironman friendly" is enabled, stats collection will be disabled.
If any console command is used, collection will also be disabled.
If the save file being loaded or game data has been manipulated, it's also disabled
Stat collection will start to work again once the player starts a new save, after being disabled previously
Might add a checkbox on the sub splash screen to disable it as well, if someone doesn't want to see it anymore; i.e. in the corner you click it and it doesn't return, or allow to disable with a setting. It's pretty annoying, even to me, who otherwise is fine with the sub system, in the sense of "Yes, yes, I know the sub is there. I have all the DLCs, so please go away!!"To follow up on my answer above, cloud save disabling should prevent stats being stored there. We will also be adding an option to disable it independently.
My career profile saved my stats when I played in offline mode. Does this mean that they're saved locally and not shared? Otherwise, I don't think disabling cloud saves actually disables the career profile stats tracking.
