I think a lot of people are misunderstanding what they mean. The tanks will all be different, every single one. Unless someone takes the exact same tank paths as you. My guess is you will get choices for different setups, armor, gun, engine. I think we might be assuming those will all be exactly the same, we might see a more indepth tech tree from stuff like that, they are really going for stuff to chose to effect and impact how things work. So it will be groups of techs that you research that make the tanks unique. There will be pathing for each tank, possible. Like the T-34 can get slopped armor while Panzer 4s are limited. We don't know, but I can totally see how you can make things still have attributes and advantages even if each tank base is the same, you do it by pathing mechanism. EX: if I have a Panzer 4 I might be able to upgrade to a 75 mm gun quickly and while a T-34 might have to go to a 76 mm or a 57 mm, depending on year. However the T-34 is much more capable of being changed and diversify then any other tank, it was the bone behind the Soviet army, even though its been around since 41. Germany had to responded with Tigers and Panther which dominated but were incapable of mass production to the extent of the T-34s. I'm assuming they will build in systems like that, make each nation have certain advantages. Or not, if they don't I bet the system is ttotally capable of being attack by mods and changed to be better. I doubt they skip out on one of the big 3, Artillery, Airplanes, Tanks. If they did I bet it will be extremely easily modable and changed quickly or perhaps dlc. I think its important that Germany during 42 and til the end of the war has the best tanks on the battlefield and I hope they will take that into account. Ever German Tiger division killed at least 2 for every tiger it lost. Most of the time from getting stuck and what not. Some of the best had 16 to 1 ratios, I don't think they would ignore the Tigers and Panther huge advantage over enemies. I hope they have some system to represent the great struggle of complex engineering versus mass production. Of course I don't know for sure, just know they are really doing pathing stuff, so I'm assuming they are doing it across the market.
