Transportation units and ammunition:
1. Need to build railroad locomotives and cars (on the similarity with maritime transport).
2. Construction of cargo land transport (trucks).
1 and 2. Request a number of trucks and locomotives (for railways) should work on the principle of the system is now working as officers. If a player has 100% of the necessary transports (locomotives, wagons and trucks) the system works 100% .. if not then the efficiency drops, respectively.
3. opportunity to build warehouses for the storage of supplies.
4. the ability to destroy enemy trucks, trains:
** -airstrikes on infrastructure, warehouses;
* - Sabotage operations.
5. construction of research facilities to enhance the leadership points.
6. reconstruction of destroyed objects only through the industrial potential
7. commando units, which would be able to move through enemy territory on the similarity with submarines at sea.

PS. Sorry for the bad english

In addition to the naval and air hq mentioned here several times... Flagships for my fleet. If not workable in the current engine, consider it for HOI 5... (if there is 1)

I expect from HOI4 many things:

First a list of really comprehensive decisions like in Darkest Hour/WIF2. Really top notch. P.S.: integrate which decision is historical/ahistorical.

The map idea is really good. I want a very close experience to an actual general meeting where they discussed how to move troops.

Theaters are really a bad idea. You should be able to move your troops everywhere without the micromanagement of supply chains. This is a really big NO NO. I will not play HOI4 if it has a lot of micro-management. The HOI2/Darkest hour management of troops is fine, making for a way more better experience of playing. That's why I don't play HOI3, but I play darkest hour. I don't want theaters. It starts complicating the game starting to put all those formations in some theater or the other and when you change it they have lack of supply. I really am against theaters.

I just want to move the troops I want where I want without making a big fus about it. Select, send to where I want them by land or sea and that's that. Let the theaters and supply chains change as I do that.

Provinces that are unique and don't look like Catan provinces(settlers of catan, the board game).

A very historical AI if you respect your historical decisions. Changing your decisions starts changing history little by little. Let user-based scenarios make really SF ahistorical scenarios if they want to. This means the thing must mimic goals that are similar to what happened in the war. Even periods and well known fights should be remembered.(with an error of course, nothing is perfect)

Special units for every country. Special graphics to see how units are moving across provinces or show major cities.
Realistic Air and Naval Warfare and the means to destroy ones air and naval units. Both air and naval units must affect really seriously the way you win battles.

Make intelligence and spying more useful. Knowing how many troops and where, stuff like that. When stealing blueprints, steal blueprints you need(how many times have I stolen blueprints about some land doctrine I wasn't researching). Make blueprint stealing better.

A way to make pre-war experience better(like newspapers and stuff to do) and not to make the player wanting to fast forward the time.

A better way supply is managed on sea. I really want an automatic supply chain, not just a manual one. I want to take out as much micromanaging BS as possible and concentrate on grand scale tactics.

You nailed it at HOI2 and DH, just think how you would improve that game graphically and as of AI and history etc and take some minor ideas from HOI3.

Please give me some feedback on this. Thanks!

Please, please, please bring back the feature from HoI2 that allows the conqueror of Germany to install either the DDR or FDR (e.g. East Germany or West Germany). We have difficulty keeping players controlling Germany in games because once they lose they don't even have the option of choosing to stay as one of these new countries. Obviously which is formed will depend on who conquers Germany. This is so important for continuation of the game. Also it would be good when a country is puppeted that the leader of the new country aligns with the country that conquered them. For example, puppeting the Soviet Union as Germany should not allow Iosef Stalin to become head of state again. I feel like this is the most important feature (returned feature) there is. Any other features from HOI2 might be worth restoring too.

Some other things are return of research companies, victory point number in the province detail box, unique city photos, more intuitive supply system (some tutorial/warning when or if troops are out of supply), further detail of provinces, and overall tech overview. Details on where troops will land in an invasion, occupied land trades, and the ability of independence guarantee to lower the neutrality of the guarantor are other little things that might be ok. That's all I can think of for now!

Letting faction leaders control AI allied armies would also be great as was in HOI2. General improvements in AI would probably be nice (sorry if vague).

Thank you!

- Possibility for the player to influence politics/elections at a higher degree in his own country.
- Country flags based on goverment type/ideology. As in Victoria 2, i loved that. Like Bleakend said above, if Germany puppets Russia, should they still have their communist flag? ; /
- More releaseable nations. For instance, Serbia, Ukraine, east/west Germany
- Improved AI and better communication tools with allied AI.

A couple of things I'd like...

If, for example, you're playing as Britain. I'd like to be able to recruit African regiments (or whatever specific culture inhabits each province
) from my African provinces and so on.
Maybe these can be limited to militia and then normal infantry, depending on the industrial strength of the provinces.
I just like the idea of having to raise regiments in my colonies and ship them home to fight.
I can't remember how recruitment was in HoI3 (I didn't play it much) but I don't think it had something like that.

The other thing I'd like is highly unlikely...

National specific real patriotic songs of the era.
Obviously it wouldn't be possible for every single country but it could be easy for Germany, Britain, USSR and so on.
Britain could get stuff like Land of Hope and Glory etc, Germany could get Die Wacht am Rhein and tonnes more... even Ireland could get Amhrán na bhFiann (sung in Irish of course).
The songs could be mixed in with the generic music composed for the game, sort of how CK2 does culture specific music.

Like I said, it's highly unlikely but it would give a little flavour to playing each nation.

NOTE: There will not be any swastikas in the game, because it IS illegal to show them in Germany and various other countries. Same goes for other Nazi symbols (e.g. related to the SS) or Nazi propaganda material, including songs etc.

Sorry mate, Germany will get only be able to get generic music, and if every nation gets real propaganda music except Germany people will whine super hard.

Plus if they do that then they won't have to pay What's-His-Face to make new music, which is a shame because I think he's a great music person who deserves to eat.

I have a list of things I want for HOI4

I think we should have a map editor for HOI4 like HOI2 did,
I don't want it to turn out like HOI3,
I want graphic options so that I can actually play it,
I want the secret alieninvasion cheat with alien models based on HOI2,
I want to be able to play as Albania and other small states without going resource bankrupt,
I want the ability to declare war and ask for provinces that I control instead of regions, (Similar to EU)
I want infrastructure to have more of a purpose,
I want Historical accuracy,
I would like to see the Doomsday and Armageddon scenarios remade in HOI4, (From HOI2)
I want the old HOI2 soundtrack remade for HOI4,
and I don't want Crusader Kings 2 style DLC releasing.

Tas.gifrocketnimrod.jpgmacelauncher2.jpgvarga-xg-xh.jpgrmi8_02.jpg

As a Hungarian, my wish is to be able to research, develop and field experimental weapons that Hungary used to develop during WW2. '44M Buzogányvető' heavy AT rockets (by themselves and mounted on 40M Nimród chassis), 44M Tas medium/heavy tanks/tank destroyers, RMI-1/Varga X/H turboprop light bombers/heavy fighters, RMI-5 X/U transport planes, RMI-8 X/V fighters and the like. After all, when it comes to Axis Wunderwaffen, why should the Germans have all the fun?

And speaking of Hungary, please dear developers, draw the borders and rivers of Hungary properly and not how you did it in CK2.

Also, a longer time limit that stretches until, say, 1952 or 1956 would be nice.

Surely that only includes the few songs that were actually made by the Nazis?
Considering that the German list could include Deutschlandlied and that is obviously not illegal in Germany and I'm pretty sure Die Wacht am Rhein isn't illegal either, considering it's much older and mainly associated with the Franco-Prussian War and World War I.

In b4 "Songs of the Reich" DLC  Which, incidentally, might be unavailable for sale on german Steam without harming the base game. Just thinkin'...

1. FIRST and FOREMOST AI that is actually capable of taking decisive actions and attempting breakthrough. I'm tired of overcareful German AI not blitzing on Eastern Front or the British invading northern Northern Norway every six months with two or three divisions.
2. UI that really tells me what will happen if I attack unit A with my unit B and what kind of units am i really facing, also it would be nice to see that units counters/info bars show their attack and defence values clearly
3. Make combat more persistent. For ex., units that are retreating could still be attacked. It's just silly watching 8000 men retreat unmolested and in orderly fashion from province you just took.
4. Better, working, diplomacy with ability to pressure other countries to do things for you. Like make Sweden stop trading and granting transit rights to Germany if Allies have liberated Norway
5. Espionage/Intel should play bit more important factor in game, like allies breaking the enigma code, or unnoticed presence of German 352nd Inf division in Normandy prior D-day
6. Equipment pool: I just find it odd that I had 3 divisions operating with PzIII , I upgrade them to PzIV and vuolá PzIII:s are not there. Having equipment pool for nations could really benefit smaller nations from this as they could buy this older materiel from bigger nations who are modernizing their army.
7. Rework partisans, facing a sudden partisan crackdown 300km wide (has happened to me) and running after them half the France is just nuisance, especially when it happens every half month. Also ~10000 japanese partisans threatening British rear in Libyan desert  seems also out of place.

Additional content like more units, decisions, secret weapons, music, picture of Hitler shaving his 'tache, etc. is pretty easy to add, and I'm pretty sure modders/devs will see to that thanks to places like Steam workshop etc.,
as long as the game and its engine itself is good and solid, it's fine to me...

Sorry mate, Germany will get only be able to get generic music, and if every nation gets real propaganda music except Germany people will whine super hard.

Plus if they do that then they won't have to pay What's-His-Face to make new music, which is a shame because I think he's a great music person who deserves to eat.

nah. just have O fortuna going in an endless loop.

Another thing, when constructing ships, you will need a port, just ICs.

Would it make sense to "deploy" a ship from day 1 of production? With a "can't move, -1000% attack, -X% repair speed, 1% strength of course. That would open things like bombing incomplete ships in port, unfinished ships getting some shore bombardment to support local troops if enemies got close etc.
