Semper Fi Features include:
* Vastly improved AI that will defend its territories valiantly, marshal large naval taskforces and launch multi-stage invasions
This better be true, because I think I have heard all of this before.

Probably a similar price to what other expansions such as HTTT or IN have been in the past.
On another note, when can we expect Dev Diaries?
There will be, there always is, no matter how good or bad any game is, you can't keep everyone happy.
No supply changes... And I shudder to think how gamespeed will change with a new AI on board. If these issues get resolved, we may have a winner.
Yes, we know how much we can get into an expansion now, and how much they sell. Look at amount of features and cost of things like In Nomine, Vae Victis and Deus Vult for this.
Ive been holding out until I was hearing generally good reports about HOI3 before I parted with my cash but I had a couple of questions nevertheless.
1) I always considered nation-specific brigade/regiment names as a must have and I dont believe they were in HOI3. Will we be seeing these this time-or at least the ability to designate a file to handle this ourselves?
2) I seem to recall hearing that the map for continental USA was lacking in terms of the borders of individual states not really conforming...ie, state boundaries looked messed up, which is a hassle for modding. Any word on this aside from 'you can tinker with this yourself'?
What about supply system? Is it getting ovehaul?
Well, the name was supposed to be Semper Fidelis, but I kept saying Semper Fi to people.. since I'm uncultured as well.
My goal with this project is to make sure the Pacific Campaign gets the attention it deserves and have lacked in all previous hoi games.
Soon. I'm hoping we can have thursdays as the dd for SF.
I'm not heated over the issue. Apologies to any who thought otherwise. And Doomsday and Armageddon clearly had nuclear warfare connotations, fittingly applied to expansions with those scenarios added. What did Doomsday or Armageddon have to do with WW2 either. It's just a phrase associated with WW2 and warfare in general.. Chill out dude.
OK thanks for the answer. And yes my right arm is supremely loyal to me in many ways.I was curious about the same thing:
Me: Why did you choose the title Semper Fi for the first HOI3 add-on? Semper Fi being Latin for “Always Faithful” and the motto of the US Marine Corps.
Johan: It was because of two reasons. First we wanted to make an expansion focusing on the weak points of the original game, namely the naval AI and the Pacific Campaign. Secondly, we wanted to tell our fans that we are always faithful to them.
Thanks Johan. I believe you are very loyal to your customers and fanbase. I appreciate the add-on; and even though I seem to gripe, I like the name.Well, the name was supposed to be Semper Fidelis, but I kept saying Semper Fi to people.. since I'm uncultured as well.

Oh please add this. Super historical geekiness abound. Its on my list of "optional features" if we get time for it. At least I hope we can add in support for modders (and have defaults for the majors)
Well, I for one, hope for events like Pearl Harbor and more historical based dates on the current events\decisions... The AI always shoots out decisions at first chance now, ready or not..How is the 'more historical' events system going to work?
Or anything to make the AI undertake an island-hopping campaign/recognize the importance of certain islands?
