What? Maybe I should rephrase. The Marine Corps motto is "Semper Fidelis," shortened by Marines like myself to Semper Fi because we are too uncultured to speak Latin.
I suppose I was (in a round about smart ass fashion) asking: why that name for a grand strategy game EP that certainly is more comprehensive than the US AO in the Pacific theatre?
What did Doomsday or Armageddon have to do with WW2 either. It's just a phrase associated with WW2 and warfare in general.. Chill out dude.
I'm more interested in the features, which sound awesome. A little disappointed it wasn't in the first release to begin with though.

Johan: It was because of two reasons. First we wanted to make an expansion focusing on the weak points of the original game, namely the naval AI and the Pacific Campaign. Secondly, we wanted to tell our fans that we are always faithful to them.
Well then, let's see what this addon might bring. The 'paid patches', as some call it, aren't entirely new to PI games, but I cannot remember the announcement of an addon while the original game was still in a shape as bad as HoI 3 version 1.4.
Any information on the price players will have to pay for Semper Fi?

Well, the name was supposed to be Semper Fidelis, but I kept saying Semper Fi to people.. since I'm uncultured as well.
My goal with this project is to make sure the Pacific Campaign gets the attention it deserves and have lacked in all previous hoi games.

That "feature list" doesn't mention much about naval warfare, short of improved Naval AI (which isn't a bad thing, mind you).
What are the odds we can get a headsup on what is planned for the Navy? I have a poll thread I made a month or so ago I could direct you towards if you want a more "detailed" question ;p

Probably a similar price to what other expansions such as HTTT or IN have been in the past.

There will be, there always is, no matter how good or bad any game is, you can't keep everyone happy.
No supply changes... And I shudder to think how gamespeed will change with a new AI on board. If these issues get resolved, we may have a winner.
What excited me most (despite the likelihood of me never realizing this) was the 32 player multiplayer. Good god imagine a 32 person LAN.
