I made a blank map, black and white, for HOI2 because I couldn't find one for it, despite the opposite for Victoria, CK, and EU2/3... So here it is.

Any comments, feedback, etc. would be appreciated. And don't forget to let all those who work on HOI2 AAR's know that they can make custom maps for their AAR's. It took me about 20-30 hours, and I had to do it all by touchpad, since I don't have a tablet or a mouse.

To clarify... The pictures above are only examples, as you have to click the "The link, download it here" which is in bold on the first post. When you click the link, you can download the full-sized map, which is some 3800x1400 px.

And as for the mini colored map, that's just another example of what you could do with it. It's based off of the Napoleonic Empire, but only loosely.

Please upload it as a .gif file - when it's saved as a .jpg, it is difficult to fill the map with colors (white fields aren't really white, they are filled with multiple colors)

Well, I just edited the first post so there is a gif file, but you should have to fill in the colors. Assuming you use Photoshop, just make a new layer above the black and white, set the layer mode to "multiply," and fill in the new layer with whatever color you want. It will leave the black outlines and fill the provinces in at the same time.

For a more detailed description, click the magic wand tool, set to 50 tolerance, anti-alias, and contiguous, and click whatever provinces you want to color in. Then, go to 'select' at the top bar, and click modify--->expand (2 pixels) and then select--->modify--->contract (1 pixel). Make a new layer, and set the layer mode to multiply, and then pick a color, and fill in the selection you have. Anything on the multiply layer will just make whatever is below it darker, except for white. In theory, it will make the black blacker (not really possible since it's as dark as it can get) and the white will not affect it. So you get nice colored pictures without using the fill.

I'm using Paint, so there is only a simple fill tool Thanks for making a .gif, but it looks like you changed the format after compressing it as a .jpg, so the problem is still there (but it's easy to fix by saving the picture as a monochromatic .bmp, and I dont want to bother you by requesting more files)
