There is only one Empire in Africa​

The Noble Rebels in Ethiopia were gaining land over the government troops and in the end of April the Imperial troops have gained control of Addis Adeba and finally crowned their Emperor Menelek III.

In domestic news Ernst Jünger released his book Auf den Marmorklippen. We have yet to read it but it must be good because it comes from Africa.

June 20th Emperor Haile Selassie had fled the country formerly known as Ethiopia and the Imperial Nobles of Abyssinia were victorious. We had lost an trading partner and the stability of the trans African railroads were threatened by these non-reformist nobles.

In secret we had prepared for this outcome of the Ethiopian civil war and our troops were ready to act in case of Imperial victory. In Africa there was room only for one Empire and that was the German Empire. So to secure stability in Africa, the new government of Abyssinia had to be dismantled and Horn of Africa had to be liberated. Official declaration of war was sent and our troops prepared to face the Imperial armies.

Quick War for Horn of Africa.​

The Freistaat-Ethiopian war was mostly one sided with the Freistaat troops steam rolling up the Horn of Africa. Their superior equipment and training the Imperial troops, still recovering from the Civil War were no match. By October 1939 the Imperial armies were on full retreat towards the Northern coastline with Freistaat forces in full pursuit.

The Imperial armies were able to hold on until mid December when the last pocket of resistance surrendered after Haile Selassie was captured by Freistaat Gestapo. With Görings order all former regions of Ethiopia were to be under direct rule of Freistaat to prevent any further destabilization of Africa.

ACT 3
German Empire capitulates



​

After the Freistaat-Ethiopian war Africa enjoyed mostly a peaceful year of 1940 while the war raged on in Europe. But the peace would soon end. The Syndicalist forces led by Commune of France had won several devices victories against the Imperial German armies. The Kaiser had failed to get support of his old allies and only Austrians have agreed to help their German brothers in this effort to defend Europe from the Syndicalist threat.

The Kaiser and his Imperial Staff fled Europe in late 1940 and early January 1941 Kaiser initiated the German Capitulation Policies where Europe was abandoned to the invading French armies and all former colonies were to seize control directly to the Kaiser and the government in Exile. Göring feeling that he had earned his rightful place as the sole leader of Mittelafrika answered the Kaiser with a declaration of independence. Freistaat was really free now.

German Empire now denied of their biggest colonial lands was forced to set up government in Colombo. But their troubles were not over. In China the Republicans saw the weakness of the Empire and issued an ultimatum to seize the German colonial lands. Still in progress of regrouping their armies Germany was unable to resist the Chinese.

While the German allies were growing low in numbers they were forced to look to the old enemy. Germany send a proposal out to Canada and Kingdom of France to join Entente. Entente accepted this but enforced demands on Germany that would take effect after the liberation of Europe.

Kaiser was forced to accept these demands and German Empire effectively joined Entente. For now the German troubles were over and they could begun planning for the liberation of Europe.

But in Africa trouble was brewing as the Syndicalist victory in Europe allowed them to look south to spread their revolution.

Well I recently looked at the save and what I saw wasn't something I liked....I just hope that somehow I can fix the things and am able to continue this in a good manner. I have screenies up to 1942 and if my fixes of reverting DH patches back works we shall continue this after my screenies end.

Europe in the beginning of 1941

Red = Internationale
Green= Former German Allies
Yellow= Russia
Orange= Entente
Blue = Neutral

Europe is being overrun by the Internationale forces and after German Empire was defeated, the French have continued their advance against Austro-Hungary, Ukrain, Ruthenia and Baltic States in effort to defeat the remaining pockets of Imperial sympathizers. While the Entente force have been unable to come up with a plan how to invade Europe and bring end to the Syndicalist Yoke, Imperial Russia is beginning to recover from the civil war and is currently in progress of bringing order to Siberia. It is unknown what the future holds in for Imperial Russia and Europe. But as of now it seems that Austro-Hungarian Empire is about to fall, leaving Internationale firmly in control of Europe with only minimal resistance from Eastern German Puppets.

To quote my favorite fake quote from a Finnish politician "Welfare state means that the state does well, not you" - Jutta Urpilainen. So Freestate means that the state is free not the people. Except in Afrika all are equal as long as you are not Syndicalist. Also Alash Orda might or might not actually have been Don Kuban at that point. This has been dead for close to a year and Alash Orda was the first thing I remembered from that neck of the woods. The save and the date of screenshots don't match until we reach '42 in this AAR. But don't worry I can promise that whatever the state is it wont be it in 1942.

Well actually I changed it because I have watched too many documentaries about Napoleonic era where all men had sexy muttonchops and moustaches. This was the one that best represented my manliness.

As we had feared the victory in Europe made Afrika the next target for exported revolution. This was bad news since the Internationale was now stronger than ever before and Afrika was ripe for taking. The only real power in the area was Mittleafrika but even we couldn't hold back the invading syndicalist if they would gain enough support to mount an invasion. Kingdom of France and South Africa were both vulnerable for revolutions and we believed that these would be the targets.

Our spies informed us that Internationale had chosen to support syndicalist movements all around Afrika. Movements in Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique and Kongo wanted the support from Internationale and delegation started leaving Afrika for Paris. Our efforts to stop them didn't work and the first ones to leave were the Nigerians.

The the Angolans.

And even the Mozambicans left to seek the support from France and the others.

The Nigerian Syndicalist Party was the first one to stir up trouble in our homeland. Northern Kongo began to see series of strikes and rallies that praised syndicalism.

Herr Göring decided that we should give the syndicalist a chance to negotiate and see the error in their ways, to join back the Fatherland and be a good free citizen.

But the syndicalist turned down our offers and continued to plan the overthrow of our legitimate government and ruler Göring. They had been given a chance to redeem themselves and they chose to refuse it....well there wouldn't be another chance.

Soon the unrest spread from west to east and in Mosambik huge strikes were orchestrated by the Syndicalists parties. But this time Göring wasn't going to waste time on negotiations, this time he send in the security forces to crush the strikes and bring order back to the east coast.

In Kongo the socialist bandits had taken up arms and declared their own republic in the Niger-Kamerun region as well as Northern Kongo. They called it Beninkongo Republic. Once again the army was sent in to deal with these rebels and bring order.

This was the first organized rebellion against the Freistaat rule of Africa and the first one to take place in Africa.

From June 21st to June 28th the Rebels of Beninkongo held their ground but their militants were not as experienced and well trained as the Freistaat security forces and soon they were forced to lay down their arms.

Peace was restored to the west, most of the rebel leaders were either captured or had fled the country with their tails between their legs and left their comrades to the hands of the law.

The socialists were not the only ones Göring had to worry for the treacherous South Africans had laid claims on Sudwestafrika and were now using the rebellions as an excuse to push their claims on our rightful soil. Göring's answer was simple "Unacceptable, we never give you these lands. Press this issue any further and you face the consequences of war between our two nations. Do not test me!"
