I tried the game just for half an hour and I was reading the newspapers for about 20min during that time :-D

Please increase this wunderful feature! I don't need it to be more frequently but it would be cool to have some pages for economy/politics/science etc. in it

wouldn't it be better that certain tech would be required to release them? IRL UK created dominions in second half of 19th century...it would also stop AI from releasing most of their col. possesions in first years of the game...

It's been this way since the beginning and there's never been a problem before. Something in the AI logic broke.

I'm not sure what happened with both this and the way AI is carrying out colonization, but this stuff clearly wasn't playtested.

I can excuse the whole "Democratic People's Republic" = "Absolute Monarchy" bit, but the posts about issues in Australia/New Zealand and those ridiculous screenshots of Mocambique/French Algiers are kinda turning me off on this until it gets patched.

Sounds plausible. This really needs a quick fix though. One year into the game as Prussia, Portugal has released India in Goa, the british empire now consists of the british isles + India + South Africa, all others have been released. Hmmm, was going to check the other colonies but my game crashed when I tried to tab back in, but that's to expected since it's a paradox game I guess, they always did hate tabbing out >.>

In my current Argentina game i created a crisis and now i receiving every day that France is not backing me in this crisis. And the demand of the crisis is that Argentina demand a region from Argentina. I also justifing a war against Chile but the progress stand still.

The worst thing in it is the ai releasing stupid dominions, in my game Portugal released the Kingdom of Mocambique, then colonized another state inland, released that as the Commonwealth of Mocambique and then colonized another two states inland and released that as the Confederation of Mocambique. There is also the Kingdom of North Angola and the Kingdom of East Angola...
and of course portugal immediately releasing india in Goa, also Britain immediately released British Columbia, New Zealand, and Australia.
Now New Zealand will never own all it's lands because it will never be a great power, so Great Britain will probably colonize the rest of the islands and release it as the Kingdom of South Island or something, same thing with the interior of Australia.

The reason for UK to release in 1836 many dominions is colonial race with USA. It very often transforms into crisis.
I wonder though what is Portugal reasons...
I so want mod which remove all 'dominion feature' except historical ones.
It is so immersion-breaking.
