Is it possible to somehow get rid of it? I don't want Spiritualist attraction, and I don't need Fallen Empire fleets or right to colonizing holy worlds, but I hate to leave archaeology site unexplored.

I would rather have a game where I don't find it. Every single time it is situated close to my homeworld. The only thing that is larger than the supply of prophet heads is the supply of free relic worlds.

I think you under-estimate how strong their fleets are. They have bonus weapon slots that normal ships of the same class don't get.

No, I know they're powerful; I just don't need a couple of more powerful ships in this point of the game. To get this ships I need 150 Influence, and with spreading, claims, building megastructures, promoting my agenda in Community and other artifacts, taking 4 FE ships isn't my first priority in midgame, and is laughable in endgame.
It can be a boon in the beginning, sure, but with +50% spiritual ethos attraction (considering system works, as they promised it would in Federation) it means just having this artifact in my pocket would ruin ethical distribution in empire. And I literally can't refuse taking a relic to prevent it ruining my ethics if I decided it's not worth it.

Nope, I never played Spiritualists (still, I was playing psionics both, I believe, times I got it). Still I got it.

You can say that again. In my latest medium galaxy playthrough I have 3 relic worlds in my borders alone. Granted, some of them are borderline useless due to their size, like I found the one with the AI excavation that gives you a bonus to generator districts. This world has 21 (!) generator district slots along with planetary tags and features that give it something like +40% to energy generation from jobs, which would be insane were the planet not size 12... At least the bonuses gave me a little bit of mileage from it.

At the right moment it can be very powerful. In my game I was forced to accept vassalisation after a disastrous war with a purifier, stopping any kind of territorial expansion, making me fall behind considerably. Now in the 2280s, with Zarq I got the neighbouring fallen empire on my side, and so I can break free now and have 4 additional Gaia worlds to settle.

Trade, or auction it off to some random private buyer as with precursor relics or discovered texts.

Zarqlan's head is guaranteed to show up when I play a pacifist fanatic materialist, but it's usually mid-late game where it pops into existence. I don't remember ever finding it during the exploration phase. By the time it spawns in one of my systems I already have battleships and tier 5 tech, so I don't care about spawning FE fleets by that point.

Having the +50% spiritualist attraction is a big negative, it would at least be nice if we could disable relics if not get rid of them.

Head of Zarqlan can spawn as an event once the midgame start.

It's an event about an asteroid bouncing off an undetected shield aroudn a planet that spawns the "Hidden Tomb" site.

You can say that again. In my latest medium galaxy playthrough I have 3 relic worlds in my borders alone. Granted, some of them are borderline useless due to their size, like I found the one with the AI excavation that gives you a bonus to generator districts. This world has 21 (!) generator district slots along with planetary tags and features that give it something like +40% to energy generation from jobs, which would be insane were the planet not size 12... At least the bonuses gave me a little bit of mileage from it.

That relic world has a randomized size, sometimes it is bigger.
But via Ring, Expansion tradition and Mastery of nature you can add up to 7 extra districts. ANd 4-5 of those are worthwhile.
