i'd like these questions to be answered by @podcat
after re-reading the submarines devdiary (#38)
i have a few questions regarding the convoy system presented in the game
1. Convoy's are vital to island nations and more importantly to the nations who are trading raw materials for their industries ( correct me if i'm wrong ). so, do convoy's include lend lease equipment too ? Historically all the equipment sent from the USA to Britain were sent through the sea route ( at least most of them ).
2. If i can manage to gain naval supremacy in all the sea zone surrounding a nation by using both my underwater tin cans and my surface fleet. will i be able to annoy the nation by havocking their supply chain ( let's take Australia for example )
3. Does it mean that i can reduce the amount of equipment they're getting from their allies ? If yes is there a calculated amount behind this ? well i cannot completely destroy the whole convoy as my enemy will presumably develop convoy escort techniques.
4. what uses does NAVAL SUPREMACY give me other than being able to transport my troops ( i.e, naval invasions and kind )
5. Also is it possible to gain naval supremacy using ONLY submarines ?
6. How can a nation with no coastal borders ( example: SWITZERLAND ) be able to receive lend lease equipment? Generally if any of their surrounding nation are either neutral or allies they can get the supply through land. But in this case let's say by '40 switz is completely surrounded by axis forces ( German occupation of France in the north & Italy in the south )
7. If the lend lease equipment can be sent via land is there a way to intercept it ?
Thank you in advance
