Having trouble with the patch

I recently had to do a recovery of my computer system, of course all my files were lost in the process. I reinstalled HoI as well as the patch, but whenever I load HoI it comes up as version 1.00. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled it with the patch on the system. What the hell is the problem?

probably a shitty patch download...so go get a new 1.

More likely the patch isn't installing to the same folder as the base install. Make sure the patch points to the right folder when you install it.
