Having a lot of trouble getting it installed

Hey all,

I have been playing kaiserreich on and off over the years and it's by far my favorite mod EVER. So first off, thanks everyone who made this great mod possible!

However, I'm currently having trouble getting it to install on my new laptop - it's an HP 2010 notebook. Very new. I'd give more specs but I'm on my work computer.

I believe part of the problem is that I seem to be unable to properly install a 1.2 or 1.3b patch for Arma. I have the Anthologies version and no matter what directory I install it to, when I access my Arma game the patch number still shows up at the top right corner of the startup menu as 1.1


So my question is: How may I go about actually getting it patched properly?

First get your HOI2 patched. As for support in the HOI2 support forum: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?283-HoI2-Tech-Support
They may be able to help you, I don't have HOI2 Anthology so I can't give you advices.

Ok, I'm a little confused.

So DD should be patched as well? If so, to what patch? I thought this was an ARMA mod only?

Yes, this is an Arma Mod.

Ok so then I guess I'm just confused on what I'm supposed to patch, then. Did you mean DD or just regular HOI2?

I haven't played KR in ages, but I thought ARMA was a kinda stand-alone that doesn't require DD (or HOI2 regular) patched to patch it. But then, I could be wrong.

I am confused too. Just install Arma (that should include DD and HOI2 to their latest patch). Then install 1.2 or 1.3b patch for Arma, whatever works for you.

Haha I'm sorry there's so much confusion.

The problem is that ARMA does not seem to patch properly. No matter how many times I download and install 1.2, ARMA keeps saying at the top corner at the start up game menu that it's still 1.1.

Therefore, I do not think it's patching properly - which is creating tons of errors when I try to extract Kaiserreich 1.2 into the MODS folder (following JSGME installation rules).

Does that make sense?
