Anyways, back on track, I played one GC as UK. I quickly owned Korea, Tibet, Nepal, Japan, Denmark, as well as all the border provinces the UK has with the US, on the 42nd parallel. I'm about to start a GC for the USA, and I would like to ask how do I start the Mexican War, since I want to push to the real-life borders, before the Civil War. Plus, should I ally with Texas and annihilate Mexico at the beginning of the game?

I was almost done with a full campaign as Russia, it's about 1913 the game is won. I control Persia, all of Central Asia, Alaska and parts of China that I bought from them, oh yeah and Melanesia, Mikronesia, Polynesia, the Sunda Islands, Sakhalin Island and East New Guinea #1 in everything. It was nice nice nice.

I've just finished my first GC as Belgium, #1 with about twice the amount of points of #2, UK. This was on easiest settings and no mods tho (oh and v1.03b)
Nabbed Algeria and a few border provinces from the french about halfway through; hey, THEY were the ones that kept declaring colonial war
Invaded UK in 1910 for laughs and remained at war with them until the end and fared better than anticipated. Decimated their entire fleet - a stack of BB/DN in the english channel works wonders - and occupied Ireland, Scotland and one or two english provinces. Funny sight, army after army crashing onto a handful of dug-in Inf-A/Inf-E brigades in vain And still they wouldn't have any form of peaceful resolution.
Anyhow, great fun!
I think I'll try Sweden next, or maybe Prussia or Austria.

I have just finished my second game with Portugal. I don't want to be nationalist, but I think I can state that Portugal is one of the countries with best colonization potential in the game. It is very easy to claim the entire Southern part of Africa, by negotiating with the UK and by annexing those weaklings such as Zulu, Transvaal and Oranje.
Besides, since Portugal has a small population, it's very cheap to educate it and get broken research points.
I finished the game being 2nd on Prestige, 5th on Industrialization and 10th on Army, 5th overall.
