Sorry to disillusion you all, but it turns out that HoI3 is a complete myth. The greatest public hoax since the first "election" of G.W. Bush.
Some say, there have been bigger ones since - but let´s not discuss that here.
Since the game is no longer in "development", a developer's diary could be misleading in that they don't want to solicit feedback since things are not going to change at this point for release, and it is too early to consider patch changes. Of course, we'd all still love to see more and learn more about the new systems, but I'd suppose that, together with a holiday, is their logic.

DD's were made for feedback? I though that they were just teasers.
Of course they were for feedback. Didnt Johan explicitely say, that the main purpose of the screenshots is, so that the community could give valuable and very appreciated advice about the details of the map, esp. regarding various users´ home provinces?

So we ask you, our beloved fans and costumers, to tell us, where to put each of the 10.000 provinces. Umm ... since when has Paradox EVER released a demo of their historical strategy games? I don't think anyone should look for a demo of HOI3. Who needs it? We know it will be great.

Yes, but in my experience those demos came out AFTER the game was released.
IIRC, those all were released before the main game. Also, your posts didn't say anything about the timing, so...
