Hi guys,

I played this game (a hacked version I must say) for some days when it came out, and did quite enjoy it. So now it came by on a good deal, and I orderd it. I hope you guys can inform me if the following points are still in the game?

*1 - when you marry your daughter, and gain a alliance, this alliance only lasted for the father (I believe). Meaning that when pops died, and son became ruler; the alliance was over (even though there were still family ties). Now this quite annoyed me; I would like to possibly continue good relations, without continiuasly marrying my daughters to the same dynasty.

*2 - when you are the ruler, and divide some land over your sons, and than die, most of the time the other children will hate the new leader. I remember always ending up with basically 1 family member who liked me (because I gave him stuff). But then when the player-character died again, all persons hate his son. I was quite annoyed to face this family-hatred ALL the time. Would have liked it, if it was somewhat lesser (based on virtues/ skills, so you can put more faith in your family)

*3 - the culture; when I had my kid 'tutored' by for instance a Greek or Danish person, this became the culture of my kid. Really annoying, if you would like to keep a pure bloodline, and you suddenly realize you got people from all different cultures in your family (even though no one of my family even visited those regions)

*4 - Fighting an enemy who himself is fighting for independence; I encounterd this several times, and this was actually the reason I stopped playing. While I had annihilated this rulers armies, and captured his provence, he would surrender to the ruler of his former (and anew) kingdom/empire (even though my warscore was way better). At this point, my war against him was stopped directly. Without me having a say in it. This, to me was ridiculous; spending all this time/ soldier/ money, and caputuring a province...only to be forced out without a fight/option. I mean; I would have like the option to retain control and face the Kingdom, or to like give back the province (after some looting perhaps)...has this changed?

Hope some of this makes sense, and one can be informed if this things still excist, or are patched already?

Thanks for reading, and even more for replying

*1
If you want to continue the alliance keep selling your daughters.
Thats what middle age was all about ;-)

*2
Some mods changed this so your family members have a opinion modifier about +5 to +25
Otherwise your sons getting nothing will still hate the heir.
Change succesion, divide the land before you die or sent your imbecile idiots to the church.

*3
Easy solution:
Choose tudors of your culture.
If your parents had sent you off to foreign lands, you would of course adopt their culture.

*4
There has been several fixes in the latest patches.
But sometimes, shit happens ;-)

If you want a lasting alliance, you need to place your own dynasty on the throne.

Uhh, they usually ban people for even admitting that. Advice for the future, never mention that kind of thing ever again.

I will definitly check out all the mods, once I gain acces ;)

Really looking forward to the mods; these made the Total War series so much better. Maybe any suggestions for good mods (going off topic here)

Good to read *4 is patched though. On the count of tutoring; I mostly let my kids be tutored by people in my court, I don't like sending them off ;p

Why should I be banned?
Really, did I not say I just orderd the game?

Thanks for letting me know you will not answer the question. Perhaps someone else does have some (more) usefull input

All four are working as designed.

The first is not totally correct - the alliance lasts for as long as the daughter lives, or for two generations - that's working as designed.
The second is due to them being claimants to your title.
The third is working as designed - you should pay more attention to your child's guardian.
The fourth is presumably working as designed - when the person you're at war with is no longer independent, the war ends. You should enforce your demands the moment you hit 100% warscore, or try when the province's occupied fully but you don't have 100% warscore.
