Has anyone seen an end game crisis consume the galaxy?

The difficulty of dealing with a crisis is subject to balance, and is being changed for 1.5 along with relative probabilities of them appearing, among other things.

But what happens when Unbidden/Swarm/(or even sentient AI) are left alone too long?

I have read a lot of forum posts about them, but can not recall anyone telling about a player empire being the only enclave left to be devoured after Swarm/Unbidden have rampaged across all the galaxy!

So, is this even possible? And if not, it really should be!

Never.
Swarm - If not buged, and they survive about 3-6 years, AE destroy it. If buged, it will survive less than year. I play once without A/FE, and it always buged for me.
Unbidden - The same as above.
AI - Don't doing it. I like idea of synth pops.

Depend of the difficulty and the mods I was using, and where they were spawning.

Right now, the hardest crisis i had is definitely the swarm.

but, for example, in a vanilla hard game, they always take at least about 20% of the galaxy and they are not defeated until i come to clean them, and it's never easy, because they always have a lot of fleets with a huge respawning rate. If i do nothing, they destroy everything until sentinels come to rescue us. The AI is ridiculous against them and do absolutely nothing.
But, if you are lucky enough, they can spawn near an AFE... I only had this scenario once, and the AFE destroyed them. That was the first and only time I saw an AFE intervention against a crises.

But the worst I saw was with the harder invader mod, and ISBS ships and rebalance in 1.2.
The problem was, as usual, the scourges. But this time, they took 50% of the fucking galaxy, a 1000 systems galaxy btw. They were spawning with nothing less than 1m fleet, and I could find some 3m fleets on the field (Thanks isbs rebalance )... Absolutely horrible. The only thing who saved me was the sentinels.

In fact, this is kinda sad, because even now, you have to face the scourges if you want some challenge with crises, but fighting them is kinda discouraging because they literally consume all colonizable planets in their territory... Kinda frustrating when you finally beat them after 200 years of more or less lonely and hard war, for no absolutely no reward at all.

Don't know about AI and Prethoryn, but if Unbidden are left alone for two long, two more Unbidden-like races appear and the three start slaughtering one another. Somehow I think this would tend to lead to their eventual downfall.

I have never seen this before. What are the other Unbidden like races called?

I'm still playing my first game, where the Swarm arrived dead center of my neighboring rival (and second strongest empire after me). I don't think the swarm took any worlds at all. It's in a region of space I haven't surveyed yet.

It takes so long for them to show up that by the time it happens there's basically zero chance of them not being crushed, either by me or an AE.

This. I just had the Unbidden spawn in my game. They were gone in 1 Month and i didn't even had to do something. The other time i spawned the Scourge around the year 2350 using the console. Gone within 6 Months, so i did it again. I activated observer mode, went to sleep and 6 Hours later (we are now somewhere between 2650 and 2700) the Scourge only hold 2% of the galaxy. They didn't even trigger the Sentinels.

I cant say much about the AI rebellion because in almost 500h of Stellaris I have never gotten that crisis.

Pre 1.4 the swarm didn't have to deal with afe's, etc. and if you left them alone they absolutely would take a large chunk of the galaxy, now... not so much. Unbidden never felt like they really got going, and I've never seen the ai end game crisis.

Well in my experience so far, version 1.1 Unbidden where ridiculously hard to deal with (ai didn't react to crisis back then, and they had 25x my fleet size since it was only year 2270). Was able to bait them away from portal to kill it but would hae likley consumed entire galaxy if they spawn near anyone else. Near seen the preythorian as i have only really played 3 games. THe second i never got to end game crisis. The third 1.4.1 was me testing out some things then seeing what ai rebellion looked like. (i insta researched all the techs they left game running for 89 in game years until the rebelion started. The synths tried to steal my planents, i banned ai and they were instanlly demolished on all my planets. Then the ai fleet went and killed the start port at my home world. Then the ai consciousness just stopped doing any thing an just left their ships in orbit at my home world for 25 years.
So in short i know the unbidden used to be able t conquor the entire galaxy in early version of the game, and that current ai rebelion is entire usless aside from preventing players from using sythetics anymore.

I switched over to the AI empire the Swarm arrived in, and they have their constructor ships just sitting above one world (still uninfested) doing nothing and had a 50k fleet sitting in a separate system. In the meantime, I started researching the AI technologies and am getting the rogue AI event chain, even though I thought only 1 crisis can ever happen.
