Has anyone played this game on a regular basis since release back in Q1 2012?

I have played for more or less the entire period. Its my first paradox game (more or less) and i had never heard of CK1 but i got bored and wanted a game with a dynasty building aspect to it. I saw a recomendation on a random google forum and gave it a shoot. A week later it became the first game i ever downloaded via steam and passed 500h gameplay a few days ago.

Its a funny game. A few of my playthroughs may have led to some of the most rewarding gaming experiences ive ever had but just as many have been terrible and a total waste of time.

No, because some of the later design choices have baffled me. It's still a really good game, and much more polished than it was at release, but it's starting to feel bloated now and I dislike the fact that retinues can't be disabled as an in-game option rather than having to modify some files.

This is the game that I've put the most time into ever, about twice as much time as in the next game in my steam list.

Not that much. This is mostly due to crash-outs due to graphics card issues. Can't play it if you get kicked out and have to reboot.

Started pretty late myself (with LoR being released at least). Been off it now, and back to WoW. It's between these 2 that I play now. Waiting for more content from both games.

I pre-ordered and have been playing since day one. I've had a couple of short breaks when I've played other games, generally because I've finished a game without enough time to start another one before a patch is released. I'm on a short break now until 1.09 comes out.

I don't get too much gaming time because I'm busy with the kids, but I try to spend a few hours each week playing. I like to spend a whole evening on CK2 and try to get one session in at least each week. If I've only got an hour spare I might play something else, and I've got a lot of books I want to read too. I've got a backlog of games that I've picked up in sales over time that I haven't got round to finishing and I'm trying to find time for those too.

Overall I've clocked up 675 hours on CK2, which is about 14 hours per week since release.
