What happens? also since there are suppose to be 5 edits judgeing by the slots, I found 3 (fire, storm stone)through the main quests and 1 through research (misfourtune?), I am assuming the 5th one is this?

without spoiling: the 5th one is aquired in the solo path

I don't know exactly what happens but funny story: I heard that there was a guy who rested untill a new month had started before isueing the edict and suddenly he had 365 days to take the citadel

The game ends and you die, like everyone else in the valley. Apparently that is only if you have proclaimed the edict(you do that in Ashe's tent the first time you talk to him and Voices). If you wait for the Day of Swords to pass before proclaiming it, you'll have a years time to get through the 1st act. Until the next year's Day of Swords.

For all of Tyranny's flaws, this little easter egg is hilarious, since it makes perfect sense in regards to the edict that you'd suddenly have a whole year.

That being said, since this is still Tyranny, with the narrative aerodynamics of a cinderblock, I can only assume that this is never acknowledged in any dialogue or circumstance, is it?

Given there is an achievement for it, I'm more curious if anyone has managed to legitimately fail the timer. Feels generous even on PotD solo.

Would be a huge thing to acknowledge though. Having a year to do things is gonna suck out the urgency and you'd probably be overseeing a siege rather than assaulting anything. And then you'd have to explain to Tunon how you managed to take eight days to pretty much complete a three hour journey.

I was really worried about that my first game. I avoided resting and was doing many combats with injuries. I still had 6 days remaining when I finished act 1. I had no idea act 1 would be that short.
Super short. You can rest after doing each area and still have ample amounts of time. To fail you'd pretty much need to rest after each fight.

No, it wouldn't need to be that huge; the threat would still be there, and the fact that the Chorus and Disfavored comes to a head against eachother would still occur.
