What country do you think is the hardest to play. I personally think either France or Nationalist china.

Just off the top of my head, I would guess that Luxembourg would be the hardest country to play as. But I tried Nationalist China and felt it to be very difficult, so it isn't just a matter of size.

As stupid as it seems, I've found Luxembourg and the kind relatively easy. Yet breaking off from the SU and doing something on your own is a serious challenge.

How can anyone say Nationalist China was difficult??? There are dozens of AARs about it, it's quite challenging but easily winnable for an advanced player.
There are how many countries in HoI2? 70? Out of those, the Nationalistic Chinese would probably be ranked 20th in ease of winning. Much more difficult are Luxemburg, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Persia, Tannu Tuva, Ethiopia, Austria, Yugoslavia, [...]
And that is just with "surviving" as a measure of win. If you define winning as being tghe world's largest power in the end of the game, then all the minors (with less than 20 base IC) pop up, from the Caribbean states to New Zealand.

I'd go as far as put it in top-7, maybe even in top-5. Only the big three of US, Germany and Soviets are clearly easier than China, with China being about on the same level of difficulty as UK and Japan.
Once you know how to play with them even WC is very possible.

I dont think Tannu Tuva is really hard to play,as you dont get attacked by a major or semi-major like Luxembourg,Ethiopia or Albania...
Sorry but when I was asking about what countries are the hardest 2 play. I meant the countries you can pick without changing the flags. But if I was talking about all the nations it would be luxembourg and Albania.
Why would you want to limit yourself only to those nations?Anyway,Id say its either China or Poland.

It is a territory with no control over itself that is always invaded as pretty much the first action in the game. So very hard to play.

nat china is very easy you just spam inf and mil and spush the japs, in my games they never go furter than the yellow river.
